Historical allusions of Longjing Village

There is a legend: it is said that there was a spring in the village in ancient times. The spring water is endless, clear and fragrant, just like the water given by the dragon.

The villagers carved a faucet out of stone and put it at the mouth of the spring. The spring water gushed from Longkou and never stopped. Later, a Feng Shui teacher passed by this spring and drank its spring water. He thought it was amazing, so he suggested that villagers dig wells to store water for drinking. So the villagers dug a well here and named it Longjing.

There are springs, dragons, dragons, wells and villages in the village.

The name of Longjing Village evolved from this. By the hexagonal well of Longjing Shangcun, the reporter saw an ancient stone tablet by the well.

The inscription reads: Note: This well is named after Longjing Village. It is strictly forbidden in the village: the inner well is dedicated and the water is fragrant. Wash clothes outside the well. Ploughs, taro and fishy impurities are not allowed into the well, which makes the well dirty. Digging well stones is not allowed. Those who break the law will be fined 5 Jin for oil and incense. This monument was built 49 years after Qianlong.

The ancient well is located in the south of Longjing Village, with a hexagonal shape and a very low wellhead. You can reach out and touch the clear well water.

The wellhead was covered with moss, and after the villagers used tap water, the ancient well became the bathroom for the women in the village.

Overlooking the ancient well, there is a smell of the ancient well, which makes people feel deeply.

It is very sacred in the minds of people in Longjing Village. After the village was named after Longjing, the villagers built a dragon temple in the southeast of the village and worshipped the dragon as a god.

On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year, the villagers invite Long to leave the temple and go to the Youlong River in Paradise Creek, Longgong Bay, east of the village. The scene is very grand. People in Longjing Village will continue the Dragon Boat Festival every year, and the inheritance will remain unchanged.
