My hometown is a village one kilometer west of Laolongwan Scenic Area, a famous spring in the world. Surrounded by water on three sides and green hills and countryside. Historically, Jingtou Township was set up to govern several surrounding villages. My third grandfather is the head of Jingtou Township. We children are afraid to go to the wellhead. The villagers tied several circles of well ropes around his waist, and then several people lifted him up with well ropes and hung him on the underground water more than ten meters away from the wellhead. There was a legend in the village at that time. It is said that if wheat bran is sprinkled into the well, it will soon flow out from the main springs of Laolongwan, Qin Chi and Zhujianchi. The villagers once proudly said that Laolongwan Spring is famous, but the well water in our village is better! The primary school in the village is next to the ancient well. At that time, students had a break. When they are thirsty, they go to the well. Those who draw water lean against the bucket to drink. Those who fetch water don't care. They just smiled and kindly reminded them to drink slowly and not to choke. That well water is cool and delicious, and it secretes people's spleen, and it is still fresh in my memory! Now I have walked through famous mountains and rivers and been to many places, and I can't drink such refreshing and sweet spring water anymore.
A frolicking river
In addition to bitter well water, there are unforgettable rivers in my hometown. Once that river carried many happy times when we were children, where we touched shrimp barefoot and we plunged into the water to swim. At that time, exercise made my swimming skills. Now in Jinan Swimming Pool, all my friends need to hire coaches for repeated guidance, but I don't. Longwan spring water is clear, the four seasons remain unchanged, and there is the largest bamboo forest in Jiangbei, which is unique! My hometown has simple folk customs, hardworking and kind villagers, beautiful mountains and rivers and developed transportation. Now Jingtou Village has changed a lot, and now two new industrial parks and county vocational education centers have been built around the village.
