Wu Yun Temple
Wu Yun Temple is located in the rainy and foggy mountain in the northeast corner of Mianxian County and the northwest corner of Hanzhong, about 57 kilometers away from Hanzhong.
Wu Yun Temple was built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649 AD), and was then called "Chaoyang Temple". Incense is flourishing, pilgrims gather, and there are about 800 monks living in the temple. It is recorded in Old Tang Book that it, together with Niutou Temple in Mianxian County and Gan Ming Courtyard in Nanzheng County, is called the three major temples in the history of southern Shaanxi. According to legend, during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Xiao Huanghou became a monk here, died of illness and was buried here-today's Huanggu Grave. As a result, Li Taihou, the mother of Wanli, was designated as Chaoyang Hospital by filial piety, "giving 678 Buddhist scriptures and giving them for more than a year". Up to now, the "Imperial Monument" still exists. 1983, Wu Yun Temple and Huanggu Grave were declared as key cultural relics protection units at the county level, and tourists come in an endless stream every spring and summer.
Wu Yun Temple was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution for "breaking capitalism". 199 1 year, the local government and the masses raised funds to build the daxiong hall, huanggu palace and eight rooms on the original site of Wu Yun temple, and there are still two wings on both sides to continue to raise funds for repair. After the restoration of Wu Yun Temple, good men and women in Mianxian and other counties and cities came here to burn incense and enjoy the scenery, no matter how high the mountain is or how far the road is. When you are in Miaoshan, Wu Yun, you will enter a relaxed and happy state when you walk through dense forests, streams, climb dangerous roads, bathe, look for birds, take photos, read, entertain, practice martial arts and keep fit. It is indeed a rare place for "spring outing, summer vacation, autumn outing and winter hunting".
There are more than 65,438+00 monks and laymen in Wu Yun Temple. They take care of the temple and take care of donkey friends, photographers and tourists visiting the mountain. Otherwise, there is no place to stay and eat for dozens of miles around Fiona Fang, and you will have to starve. However, in the temple, you can only be vegetarian. It's a good idea to sleep in a slutty shop and cut off your fat belly, hehe. ...
The scenery of Wu Yun Temple can be described as "high mountains and high waters". The air is fresh and pleasant, and all the way to Luge, the sound of flowing water will accompany you to the "killing" waterfall with infinite scenery! However, here, friends who have no physical strength, perseverance and endurance should pay attention, and need enough courage and common sense of outdoor activities, otherwise you may go into the tourist trap of "but I seem to hear a voice and there seems to be no one on the empty mountain"!
