Third, treatment: according to the condition, decide to take oral laxatives, enema or surgical treatment.
Oral phenolphthalein tablets or fruit guide tablets 20mg/kg body weight, 1-2 times/day. Used for mild constipation. Severe constipation was treated by enema combined with extraabdominal compression. Enema with warm soapy water, while pouring and pressing until caking, can generally have better curative effect. For dogs with ineffective enema and drug treatment, abdominal incision should be performed to remove feces.
Kaisailu and enema are commonly used laxatives.

1. Warm water enema: Warm water or soapy water not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius should be injected into the rectum with a hose, and the pressure should not be too high to prevent rectal perforation. 2. Use laxatives.
Tomato paste: sealed in a plastic bottle, there are two kinds of large dose and small dose, the large dose is 20 ml per bottle and the small dose is 10 ml per bottle. The big bottle is for adult dogs and the small bottle is for puppies. At the same time, cut off the end of the sealed bottle, slowly insert the long neck of the bottle into the anus of the sick dog, squeeze the soft bottle, inject the oily liquid in the bottle into the anus, and discharge a dung ball or dung block in a moment. It's effective for those who can't get out because the stool blocks the anus.
Glycerol suppository: it is a kind of glycerin stick suppository with the thickness of little finger. After being sent to the anus, the suppository will dissolve and glycerin will escape, which can moisten the intestines and play a lubricating role, and it is easy to soften the hard stool and discharge it.
Liquid paraffin: or paraffin oil, for oral administration. The dosage is 0/5-20ml for large dogs and 3-5ml for small dogs. After meals, paraffin oil can lubricate the intestinal wall, prevent the colon from absorbing water, soften feces and facilitate excretion. Because it takes 8- 12 hours to excrete feces after taking it, it is appropriate to take it at night.
Magnesium milk: suitable for puppies, with laxative effect. The medicine is mild and does not hurt the intestinal wall.
Magnesium sulfate: suitable for adult dogs, each time 10-30g. Dissolve it in water first, and then feed more water after taking it. After taking it, you can excrete a few hours of watery stool.
Rhubarb soda tablets: have the effect of invigorating stomach and relaxing bowels. Adult dogs can take 5-6 tablets at a time, and puppies can take 2-4 tablets at a time, which can soften hard feces and easily discharge them.
