It is Lvwan Lake in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, which is connected with Dongjiang River through Xinfengjiang Golden Waterway. It is the source of drinking water in Hong Kong and one of the best places in China.
Recently, I traveled to Heyuan, especially to the Lvwan Lake Scenic Area in Dongyuan County. First, take a boat at the dock, enjoy the wonders of the island intuitively on the lake, and then go to the island to see the "emeralds and topaz" embedded in the lake in different forms.
Some tourists once called Lvwan Lake "Qiandao Lake in Guangdong". In fact, the scenery of the two places is not the same style. The only thing in common is that the scenery is charming, especially when the weather is fine, I feel that the lake and the sky are connected and explosive.
According to local people, there are more than 360 islands of different sizes in Lvwan Lake, all of which are uninhabited. There are no toilets for cruise ships in scenic spots. In order to protect water resources, there are toilets on the islands.
Lvwan Lake was formed by damming and storing water at Yaposhan Gorge in the lower reaches of Xinfeng River. At different water levels, the number and shape of islands on the lake are different. It was the dry season when we went there. Many hills that were originally underwater emerged from the water, some were dotted with vegetation, and some were golden yellow, which reminded me of the Danxia landform in Zhangye, Gansu. The difference is that the Danxia landform in Gansu is located on land, while the wonders of this archipelago in Lvwan Lake are on the water.
In fact, I don't know what the geology of Lvwan Lake is, but I just feel like "Danxia on the water" visually.
Like what is just a visual description, its own high value is the basis of pleasing to the eye.
The area of Lvwan Lake is 370 square kilometers, and the lake area of Hangzhou West Lake is 6.38 square kilometers, which means that Lvwan Lake is equivalent to the sum of the lake areas of 58 Hangzhou West Lakes.
Lvwan Lake Scenic Area is about 6 kilometers away from Heyuan City, which is a short drive. After the opening of the high-speed rail, it will be more convenient to travel from all over the world.
How good is the ecological environment of Lvwan Lake? Locals say that there are many peach jellyfish the size of a one-dollar coin in the lake, which requires very high water quality. In addition, the relevant personnel also found pangolin, a national protected animal, in the scenic spot.
Because of its large area, when visiting Lvwan Lake, there is a feeling that there are mountains in the sea and there is sea in the mountains. It is said that when it is rainy and cloudy, it is like "Penglai Wonderland".
There are many tourist attractions in Lvwan Lake. We mainly visited Longfeng Island and Jinghuayuan Scenic Area.
Longfeng Island is lush all year round, and bougainvillea, maple leaves and other vegetation set off a beautiful lake view, which feels like a watercolor painting. When the ship moves on the lake, the picture is more vivid.
Our cruise ship docked at the shore of the Jinghuayuan area, overlooking Lvwan Lake, which is another magnificent and beautiful perspective.
Travel tip: It's convenient to go by car. You can also take bus 107 at Heyuan Bus Terminal and get off at Lvwan Lake Scenic Area. In addition, bus 109 can also reach Lvwan Lake Scenic Area.
