Yunyang Mountain is called "Xiao Nanyue" and "Yahengshan". Located 2.5 kilometers west of Chaling County, it is the highest peak and main scenic spot in Chaling County. Yunyang county
Formerly known as Yunyangshan Temple, it was founded in Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty and renamed Yunyangxian in Qing Dynasty. Today, as a Taoist temple, I worship the holy emperor of Nanyue. This ancient temple is sometimes a Buddhist temple, sometimes a Taoist temple and sometimes an academy, but neither Buddhism, Taoism nor Confucianism dare to occupy the territory of the holy emperor of Nanyue, and they must worship the holy emperor of Nanyue. Due to the fresh air and cool summer in Yunyang Mountain, this refuge palace was built, so that the holy emperor of South Vietnam can come here every June and July in the lunar calendar, and gradually formed the folk custom of "going to Yunyang in June and July and going to Hengshan in August". In this way, Buddhism and Taoism also took a fancy to this "geomantic treasure land". Qingyuan school, Taoist orthodoxy, southern Zen, entering Hunan and going to Yunyang Mountain. More than 65,438+00 temples have been built, including Song Chi Temple and Baiyun Fairy Lohan Temple. Yunyang Mountain has become an important place for religious activities in southeastern Hunan. Surrounded by bamboos in Yunyang, the caves and rocks are adjacent, and the springs are gurgling, quiet and elegant. After staying here all night, Huang Tingjian lamented that "the Taoist opened the deer gate first" and yearned for seclusion.
Guanyinyan
Yunyang has a steep and deep cave called Guanyinyan. The Guanyin Bodhisattva carved on the rock wall of the cave is dignified and kind, and the bottle is clean and half-tilted. Legend has it that Guanyin once took a nap here when it was the site of Nanyue. So it's called Guanyin rock.
Wuleichi
There is a clear spring under the rock beside Guanyin. It's not surprising, but it's amazing that you can hear the sound of running water in the rock next to the rock wall. Legend has it that once red pine ordered Qinglong to make clouds and rain to fight drought. Qinglong went to bed late and didn't resume sex in time, which led to flooding. Pine nuts angrily applied the five thunder array method, imprisoned the lazy dragon in a crack in the rock, and ordered him to spit dragon saliva to irrigate the farmland below the mountain.
The sound of "knock" is the sound of a lazy dragon spitting. It is said that the water in Wulichi can improve eyesight, clear the heart and strengthen the body, so tourists always take a few bottles home.
