The function of Naban Reservoir
Naban Reservoir is a large-scale reservoir in China, which has the functions of flood control, irrigation, hydropower generation, urban water supply and aquaculture. The rainwater collection area of the reservoir is 490 square kilometers, with a total storage capacity of 832 million cubic meters, and the designed irrigated farmland is 35,000 mu. The reservoir project started on 1958, and was completed on June 1960. 1977 was used for hydrological check of the possible maximum flood. From 1983 to 1986, the dam was raised and thickened according to the possible maximum flood (PMP) check scheme. 1998 for reinforcement construction, with an estimated total investment of 19 193400 yuan. The first and second phases of the project have been basically completed. The reservoir basin is located in the hinterland of Shiwan Mountain, which is affected by southeast monsoon and thermal storm surge. The average rainfall for many years 17 15mm, and the average inflow for many years is 583 million cubic meters. The reservoir is equipped with automatic hydrological forecasting system, satellite cloud image system and flood control communication system.
