Home Feng Shui Guide to Good Feng Shui in the Living Room and Entrance

China's traditional large houses all have large entrance halls at the entrance, but modern urban residences are generally narrow in area. If a traditional large entrance hall is installed, the space will obviously feel cramped and difficult to move around. Therefore, a compromise is to use glass screens as partitions. This can prevent outside air from rushing into the living room from the door, and at the same time, it can also make the narrow entrance not look too cramped.

1. The space between the living room entrance and the entrance should be solid at the bottom to prevent leakage, and transparent at the top. Therefore, you can use transparent frosted glass or hollow book shelves.

2. The lighting in the living room entrance should be bright rather than dark. However, most residential entrances do not have natural light sources, so you must use more brains in terms of lighting. In addition to the more transparent frosted glass that should be used for the partitions, most living room entrances do not have outdoor natural light, so indoor lighting must be used to make up for it, such as installing lights.

3. The distance between the entrance and the living room should not be too high or too low, but should be moderate. Generally, a height of two meters is most suitable, and a cabinet or the like can be used underneath, with a height of about 88 centimeters. You can use a book shelf or the like above. If the partition between the entrance hall of the living room is too high, you will feel oppressive when you are in it. Feng Shui believes that if the entrance hall of the living room is set too high, it will completely block the air outside the house, thereby cutting off the fresh air or life from the door, which is very undesirable. If it is too low, it will have no effect and will be inappropriate both in terms of Feng Shui and practical aspects.

4. The entrance to the living room should be kept clean and fresh. If too much debris is piled around, it will not only make the living room look cluttered, but also affect the feng shui of the house. If the entrance to the living room is messy and dark, the whole room will look crowded and depressing. Some Feng Shui items can be placed on it, such as unicorns.
