Historical origin

According to historical records: In ancient times, one day a girl was washing her yarn by the river. A three-section giant bamboo drifted to her feet. He tried to push the giant bamboo away, but the giant bamboo refused to leave, and the cry of a baby came from the giant bamboo.

Huansha Nu took the giant bamboo to the shore and cut it open. She found a baby boy sitting in the giant bamboo. He grew up when the wind blew, and the broken place suddenly covered the mountain with bamboo. Huansha Nu named the child Zhu as his surname.

Later, the boy excelled in martial arts and became dominant. He established the Yelang Kingdom and called himself Yelang Hou. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent troops to Nanyi in the sixth year of Yuanding. Marquis Yelang entered the court and was named king.

However, around 26 BC, it seemed to disappear without a trace overnight. It leaves posterity with many, many questions. Thousands of years have passed with the wind. Apart from the well-known "Yelang is arrogant" that contributed to Chinese culture and the ruins of the "Bamboo King City" site in Fuquan, Qiannan, Yelang has become an eternal mystery.
