Longquan Temple is located in the northwest of Haidian District, Beijing, in Fenghuangling Natural Scenic Area, at the foot of Fenghuangling Mountain in Xishan, Beijing. It is a Buddhist temple in Han Dynasty, which was built in the early years of Liao Dynasty. On April 1 1, 2005, with the approval of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Religious Affairs, Longquan Temple was officially opened to the public as a venue for Buddhist activities, and abbot Xue Cheng, vice president and secretary general of the Chinese Buddhist Association, was welcomed.
