USCIS began accepting applications on April 20 16 1 and stopped accepting applications on April 7. It is estimated that 200,000-230,000 applications will be received in 20 16. 20 16 applies for the same number of places as before, 65,000 ordinary places; 20,000 places are reserved for those who have obtained master's and doctoral degrees in the United States; 6,800 designated places for citizens of Chile or Singapore.
The Immigration Bureau has not announced when the lucky draw will be held. Last year, USCIS ended the lottery in May/April of 20 13.
According to whether to apply for expedited service, USCIS will inform the applicant of the result from April to June.
