During the Northern Dynasties and the Western Wei Dynasty, Wen 'an County was subordinate to Wen 'an County, and now it governs Yanchuan County in the west and the northeast of Baota District, Yanchang County in the west to different counties and Yanchang County in the middle of Guang 'an County. Anmin County (under Anning County) governs the southeast of Yanchuan County. In the third year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (583), Wen 'an County and Wen 'an County moved to Yanchuan County, Guang 'an County and Xiangyi County merged and moved to Yan 'an (now Yanchang) County. In the 13th year of Daye (6 17), Wenzhou, established by Liang, ruled the south of Zizhou County and all the three counties of Zichang, Qingjian and Yanchuan, the north of Baota District and the north of Yanchang County. In the second year of Tang Wude (6 19), Nanping House was established in the territory, which was in charge of Yimen (north of Zichang County) and Chengping (southeast of Zichang County and south of Zizhou County). In the second year of Zhenguan (628), Chengping County was changed to Suizhou. In the eighth year (634), the Arctic House was abolished and Yanchuan County was rebuilt. Yanchuan county had a vast territory in the Tang dynasty, and most of the areas south of Zichang county and Zizhou now belong to Yanchuan county. Today, Yanchuan County is southeast and Qingjian County is northeast, belonging to Yanshui (Anren) County. During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the county territory remained unchanged following the Tang Dynasty. In the early Song Dynasty, most of Zichang County, the south of Zizhou County and Qingjian County were still the territories of Yanchuan County. In the fifth year of Song Yuanfeng (1082), Song Jun recovered Mizhi, Yihe and Xifutu (now Suide) which were occupied by Xixia, and temporarily transferred the jurisdiction to Yanchuan County. In the seventh year (1084), six villages of Mizhi, Yihe, Xifutu, Huaining, Shun 'an and Suiping were changed to Suide City. In the second year of Emperor Xianzong of Mongolia (1252, the twelfth year of Chunyou in the Southern Song Dynasty), Anding Town (now Zichang County) under Yanchuan County was placed under Anding County. Shiyanchuan County is similar to today's county. According to "Yanchuan County Records of Qing Dynasty" (Shunzhi Edition), "the county records are east-west long 150, and north-south long 150. It is 79 miles from the Yellow River in the east, 95 miles from Yanchang County Boundary in the west, 200 miles from Yichuan County Boundary in the south and 15 miles from Qingjian County Boundary in the north. During the period of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region (1937 ~ 1949), Wang Jiahe, Shuangmiao and Xiaerlipu in Qingjian County were mostly subordinate to Yanchuan County, and Qingjian District and Dongyang District were set up. From the northern boundary of the county to Kawaguchi, Liangjiacha and Haojiawan. 1March, 949, Qingyan District and Dongyang District were abolished, and the territory was placed under the jurisdiction of Qingjian County.
