My grandfather used to join the army and fight, so he killed some enemies, especially with a gun. He is a very nice person, easy-going and kind-hearted. Will he be reincarnated in hell after his death? How can we help him? Please give me some advice. I really want to help grandpa. I'm still a student and haven't converted yet. I came into contact with Buddhism through your blog. Thank you very much. Because of Nicole's problem, I have the opportunity to write something that happened to my grandparents, which may help Nicole understand this matter and hope to inspire other Buddhist friends. My aunt was a retired cadre before her death. When the People's Liberation Army 1949 liberated Nanjing, he was the company commander and took part in the battle of crossing the river. He won many medals for his bravery in the battle. After the liberation of Nanjing, he got married in Nanjing and changed his job. My uncle also lives in Nanjing. He has studied the Book of Changes for more than 20 years. He is proficient in eight characters, ethics and Buddhism. I often use it to count the eight characters for others and watch Feng Shui to guide others to learn Buddhism and be good. His accuracy in calculating eight characters is the best I have ever seen. 10 years ago, influenced by him, I learned a lot about the eight-character feng shui, and I was curious about the mystery of life because of the accurate calculation of the eight-character feng shui, so I believed in cause and effect and began to contact Buddhism. Because my uncle meditates all the year round, I can see many sights that we can't see, such as the bardo and so on. What I want to say is that my uncle told me himself, because other people in my family don't believe in Buddhism very much, so my uncle never said it in front of them. My grandparents and grandfathers can be said to be the standard Bolsheviks trained by the * * * production party. He was honest before his death, and even after his retirement, he never made any demands on the organization. There is a son and a daughter in the family, and they have never touched his light. Naturally, he doesn't believe in Buddhism at all, not only not, but also when he sees others worship Buddha, he will say that others are superstitious. He died a few years ago, and what happened before and after his death gave me a direct understanding of the yin and yang world described by Buddhism. A month before my great-aunt died, my uncle went to his house to see him. When he walked to the gate of the yard, he saw many soldiers wrapped in bandages, some wearing the uniforms of the national army and some wearing the uniforms of the People's Liberation Army. My uncle's heart sank at that time, and he immediately thought that these people had come to see my aunt. Two days later, Grandpa Gu was admitted to the hospital because of illness. By the time of death, there will be about a month before and after. On the night of his death, my uncle meditated at home. Because I meditated all the year round, I already had some magical powers, so I saw my grandfather get up slowly from the hospital bed. When he observed this scene, he knew something was wrong and had already left. Then the hospital called and said that the old man had passed away. The next week, my uncle saw my grandfather wandering back and forth in front of my daughter's house every day. My uncle knows that he is worried about her family. So in the dead of night, I told him about Buddhism and told him not to miss this world, to repent of his previous killing and to try to be reborn in a good place. A few days later, when my uncle was meditating, he saw my grandfather praying and confessing to the Buddha in the temple. I haven't seen him since, and I don't know where my grandfather was reincarnated. Those national soldiers who were bandaged were the enemies he killed, while those PLA soldiers were comrades-in-arms who died with him in the war. Both types of people came to him on his deathbed. This is what Buddhism calls "unjust relatives and creditors". What happened after Grandpa Gu's death is consistent with the Yin-Yang period in Buddhist scriptures. In the first seven years, he wandered around familiar places and returned to his family. His good roots enabled him to accept my uncle's guidance and worship Buddha and repent in the Yin stage. Although we don't know where he ended up, he didn't go straight to hell. This incident deepened my understanding of the Yin stage. Moreover, there is an old Red Army. Because my in-laws believe in Buddhism, it is even more incredible to guide him in the Yin stage and let him successfully die in the pure land. The old Red Army named Zhou Weizhong was born in 19 18. He/kloc-took part in the revolution at the age of 0/6. He is an excellent commander in the Red Army, and he has repeatedly made meritorious military service. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as deputy director of Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Civil Aviation, suffering from hypertension, angina pectoris and other diseases. 1997 underwent cardiovascular stent surgery. In 20021February, Chen Ji relapsed after undergoing cardiovascular bypass surgery and died peacefully in the western paradise at the age of 84. How to prove that Zhou Lao was really born in Elysium? There are the following puzzling situations that can be explained:
(1) When Zhou Lao died, he told his daughter in fear that as soon as I closed my eyes, the room was full of tauren ghosts with sticks to harm me, and there were evil beasts on the ground to devour me. When Zhou Lao's in-laws Cheng Zhengguo learned about it, he immediately rushed to the hospital to tell Zhou Lao that all these tragedies were caused by unjust relatives and creditors who came to you to collect debts, and only Amitabha could save you. Zhou Lao was persuaded to recite the Buddha, and he also sent a Buddha statue and a Buddhist chanting machine. Zhou Lao believes it now. After reading it several times, his fear is gone. There was a pause, and the ghostly appeared again. Zhou Lao urgently asked her daughter to turn on the Buddhist chanting machine to help me recite the Buddha, and the shadow disappeared. In this case, Zhou Weizhong and his children believed in Buddhism. I believe that Amitabha can help them get rid of suffering and have fun.
(2) After Zhou Lao's death, Cheng Zhengguo, a layman, gave Zhou Lao a day and a night's help and guidance in the mortuary according to Jing Zong's method of chanting Buddha. I have repeatedly explained the benefits of believing in Buddhism, reciting Buddhism and going to the paradise in the West. Amitabha will definitely take you there. Chengjushi also prayed for Buddha and quilt, so that Zhou Lao litmus could enlighten all beings. Ruixiang really appeared. 1February 12, at three o'clock in the morning on the fourth day after Zhou Lao's death, Zhou's hometown was full of red light. Some relatives and children also saw blue sky and white clouds, flowing water, white jade railings and red lotus flowers. The eldest daughter heard sweet music coming from the air. The family saw this auspicious sign and firmly believed that Zhou Lao had really passed away. Together, they happily recited the Buddha's name and sang songs such as "The Red Army is not afraid of expedition" and "Ten Send to the Red Army". Zhou Lao's wife, Qi Xiurong, also turned over from her grief, followed the others in chanting Buddha, and said that she would recite Buddha well, and finally met Zhou Lao in the western paradise.
(3) What is even more amazing is that on1February 14, at the farewell memorial service, Zhou Lao's body was kept in the freezer for six days. When it was introduced, it turned out to be red and soft. The makeup artist said, I have given the deceased plastic surgery for many years, and I have never seen such a good face. After the cremation of Zhou Lao's body, colorful relic flowers such as sapphire, emerald and reddish appeared in the ashes. There is a crystal relic in the flower. The viewer is amazed.
(1) The root cause: Amitabha's great wish to contribute the merits of all beings to Wang. The Buddha said, "When I became a Buddha, ten sentient beings had heard my name, and they all believed it. All the good roots return to their hearts and wish to be born in China, and even those who have not been born for ten years will not take enlightenment, except for five, and blaspheme Buddhism. " This is the core of Amitabha's forty-eight wishes, the eighteenth wish. Buddha is merciful. Whether you believe in Buddha or not, whether you practice or not, as long as you smell the name of Buddha, you will sincerely believe and accept it. You have the wish to die with Buddha, chanting the name of Buddha and dying after ten thoughts. Zhou Lao had these situations when he was dying. Whether you can die depends on your heart. "Maintaining bodhicitta and always focusing on Amitabha" is the main principle of Jing Zong's Buddhist practice. Dade often said that the desire to die and the ambition to learn Buddhism are the highest embodiment of bodhicitta. Zhou Lao did it.
(2) The second reason why Zhou Lao can die is that Cheng Zhengguo, a layman, gave him timely guidance and helped him think. It is an indispensable victory to organize children to help Zhou Lao read Buddha. Without the guidance of Cheng Jushi. Zhou Lao must have died in pain and fear, continued to deal with the industry in the Six Roads, and wasted his life again. It's hard to say when I can hear Buddhism again. Cheng Zhengguo's kindness is a bodhisattva, which not only saved Zhou Lao, but also saved his family. It has also helped many people who are destined to believe in the belief of chanting Buddha and dying.
(3) The third reason is that Zhou Lao's own blessings and good roots are extremely deep, surpassing ordinary people. He did a lot of good deeds in the infinite robbery, and may have heard of Buddhism many times. In this life, the Buddha's fate is mature and he has done many good things for the country and the people. Good causes have good consequences. Zhou Lao can marry Cheng Zhengguo, a layman, and at the end of his life, he can have his closest relatives and filial children to help him recite Buddha. This is all done by Zhou Lao himself. There is another thing worth mentioning here. Five years ago, when Zhou Lao underwent cardiovascular stent surgery, his three daughters made a wish to dedicate their lives to their father for five years. This is rare in today's society.
This incident shows that even though he created many karma for killing as a soldier before his death, he can still go to the pure land with his confidence in Amitabha after his death.
