Zhangmutou village history

Zhangmutou, formerly known as Taian. Tai 'an, as the main road between Guangdong and Hong Kong, has always been a battleground for military strategists. According to legend, in the early Qing Dynasty, the emperor sent officials to inspect coastal defense and passed through Tai 'an. At that time, the immortal spirit of Chengbaoshan in Tai 'an and the thousand-year-old camphor tree, a tree species left by Wong Tai-hsien, were everywhere, and the cool breeze sent bursts of fragrance. The governor's adult went south all the way, and the boat and car were exhausted, and the fragrant wind drifted, making him relaxed and happy, so he ordered to camp. Lord Patrol sat on the top of a thousand-year-old tree and asked the local guide why the tree was so magical. The tour guide told me that it was a camphor tree, and the head of the tree where the adults were sitting was camphor wood. Then he told me the legend of Wong Tai Sin and the efficacy of camphor trees. The patrolman laughed: camphor tree can exorcise evil spirits, and camphor tree can keep people. It's really a treasure house of riches and honour. So he ordered local officials to rename the place Zhangmutou. Since then, Taian has been renamed Zhangmutou.
