Where is the address of the East District of Xixi Wetland? What are some fun things to do in the East District of Xixi Wetland?

Xixi National Wetland Park, five kilometers away from West Lake in Hangzhou, is a rare secondary wetland in the city on the extension of Tianmu Mountain Road in Hangzhou. It was once known as the "Three Wests" of Hangzhou together with West Lake and Xiling. It is the first and only national wetland park in China that integrates urban wetlands, agricultural wetlands and cultural wetlands. It has the "Kidney of Hangzhou" and the "Vice West Lake" reputation.

About 70% of the park's area is made up of river ports, ponds, lakes and swamps. As the saying goes, "a meandering stream and a meandering smoke", six rivers intersect in the entire park, with waterways like lanes, river branches like nets, and fish. The ponds are like scales and the islands are scattered across the pond, forming a unique wetland scene in Xixi.

Introduction

The kidney of Hangzhou - Xixi Wetland

Xixi is one of the "Three Wests of Hangzhou" (i.e. West Lake, Xiling Seal Society, and Xixi) Finally started building it. From its discovery in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, its development in the Tang and Song Dynasties, to its prosperity in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, to its decline in the Republic of China, and its abandonment after liberation, the Xixi Wetland has become a hot topic recently. Xixi National Wetland Park is located in the west of Hangzhou city, less than 5 kilometers from the West Lake to the south, and only 16 kilometers from Wulinmen in the city center.

The Xixi Scenic Area used to be the second largest scenic area in Hangzhou after the West Lake Scenic Area, with a total area of ??about 60 square kilometers and a history of more than 1,000 years. It is said that in the old days, the boat trip from Qinting Mountain left 18 miles. There were 18 bridges and 18 bays along the water. There was an 18-mile Southern Song Dynasty chariot road along the mountain. There are 108 scenic spots in the scenic area. Since the Tang Dynasty, Xixi has been famous for enjoying plum blossoms, bamboos, reeds and flowers.

No matter what means of transportation you use to arrive, you will change to a boat after entering the scenic spot, so that you can appreciate the calmness of "using a boat as a cart and a boat as a horse". You can walk barefoot on the ridges of the fields, and the withered yellow weeds will feel soft when you step on them, which also relieves you of the fatigue of working hard in the city all day long. You can also walk on the garden road paved with pebbles and flagstones to experience the scenery that is "sparse but airtight". When the two boats met, the turbulent water flow and strong wind blew down many reed catkins that were flying in the sky. It really entered the landscape painting mood of "looking at the reed flowers in a small boat". The squirrels on the trees turned and jumped like spirits, the otters on the shore came and went like ghosts, the waterbirds on the beach preened their feathers gracefully, and the murmur of the sparrows could be vaguely heard from the bird's nest.

Enter the garden, buy a boat ticket, and then you can feel at ease and experience the water of Xixi. Walking along the waterway, you will see huts on both sides of the bank, reeds growing thickly, and aquatic plants as tall as the reeds with yellow or red stamens on top. The water grass on the lake is fresh and soft, green duckweed is floating on the water, lotus shadows are swaying, a few pink tingling trees are dotted in it, and wild ducks and waterbirds are everywhere. Living in a city with water is a blessing, and Hangzhou people are really the lucky ones among the lucky ones. In addition to the West Lake, there is also the Xixi Wetland. Everyone who goes to Hangzhou knows that they want to see the West Lake. I want to remind everyone that they must not forget the Xixi Wetland next to the West Lake.

Xixi Wetland--currently the first and only national wetland park in China that integrates urban wetlands, agricultural wetlands, and cultural wetlands.

Xixi has been a place of seclusion since ancient times, and is regarded by literati as a pure land on earth and a paradise. Qiu Xue'an, Bo'an, Meizhu Villa and Xixi Thatched Cottage were all idiosyncratic businesses founded by many literati

in history, and they left a large number of poems and essays in Xixi. The ancient stage under the century-old camphor tree in Shentankou is said to be the place where the Northern School of Yue Opera premiered.

Xixi National Wetland Park is located in the west of Hangzhou City, less than 5 kilometers away from the West Lake. It is a rare secondary wetland in the city. Known as the Kidney of Hangzhou, it is a rare and well-preserved urban periphery wetland ecological resource in China. It starts from the west side of the green belt of Zijingang Road in the east, to the east side of the green belt of the Ring Road in the west, from Yanshan River in the south to the extension of Wenxin Road in the north, with a total area of ??10.64 square kilometers.

Xixi Wetland has a unique wetland landscape in the south of the Yangtze River, beautiful natural scenery, profound history, and rich pastoral water town style. At the same time, it has its unique status and role in the green space ecosystem structure of Hangzhou.

The beauty of Xixi Wetland is both natural and humanistic. The greatest feature of natural beauty is the wetland scenery, with criss-crossing rivers and centuries-old trees embodying its characteristics. These rivers and trees also contain thousands of years of cultural accumulation.

Xixi National Wetland Park is located in the west of Hangzhou City, less than 5 kilometers away from the West Lake. It is a rare secondary wetland in the city. It is rich in ecological resources, pristine natural landscape, and profound cultural heritage. It was once known as the "Three Wests" of Hangzhou together with West Lake and Xiling. The success of Xixi lies solely in water. Water is the soul of Xixi. About 70% of the park's area is made up of rivers, ponds, lakes, swamps and other waters. As the saying goes, "a meandering stream and a meandering smoke", six rivers in the entire park intersect criss-crossing each other, and there are numerous branches and fish scales in between. The fish ponds form the unique wetland scenery of Xixi.

The most important thing in Xixi is ecology. In order to strengthen ecological protection, three ecological protection zones and ecological restoration areas have been set up in the wetland: Feijiacuo, Xialongtan and Chaotianmuyang. There is a wetland science exhibition hall at the entrance. There are three bioremediation pools and a wetland ecological viewing area in the park. Xixi is also a paradise for birds. There are many bird-watching pavilions in the park, presenting visitors with a magnificent view of birds flying happily.

Xixi’s humanities have a long history. Xixi has been a place of seclusion since ancient times, and is regarded by literati as a pure land on earth and a paradise. Qiuxue'an, Bo'an, Meizhu Villa, and Xixi Thatched Cottage were all idiosyncratic businesses created by many literati in history, and they left a large number of poems and essays in Xixi. The ancient stage under the century-old camphor tree in Shentankou is said to be the place where the Northern School of Yue Opera premiered.

The folk customs of Xixi are honest and simple. The Dragon Boat Festival held every year during the Dragon Boat Festival in Shenzhen Tankou has a long history and unique form, and is known as the "Flower Dragon Boat Festival". The "Xixi Family" and "Mulberry, Silkworm, Silk, and Silk Story" near Yanshui Fishing Village reproduce the farm life and labor scenes of the original residents of Xixi, allowing more people to know and understand the typical folk customs of the water town.

Xixi Wetland is famous for its natural scenery and has a long human history. It has a history of four to five thousand years. It can be roughly divided into six stages. The first is the Liangzhu Culture period. At that time, the Xixi Wetland had gradually taken shape, and its scope was much larger than it is now. There were many lakes, including the Laohe Mountain area, which were originally within the scope of the Xixi Wetland. Second, during the Han and Tang Dynasties, human activities began to occur in Xixi Wetland, and there were many "Tang Villages" at that time. During the Five Dynasties, there was a garrison in Xixi. Third, during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Xixi Wetland developed greatly during this stage. Especially in the Southern Song Dynasty, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty saw that the Feng Shui here was very good, so he originally planned to build the capital here, but later due to other reasons, he built the capital at the original location of the state capital. At that time, there was an imperial road to Xixi. The emperor went to the suburbs to offer incense, and Xixi was the only way to go. Most of this imperial road has been forgotten, and a section of the original site remains. At that time, Xixi had developed transportation and important military status. According to legend, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty once raised horses in that area, and the emperor's horse was named Longju, so the place name Longjuwu was passed down.

The fourth is the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which was the most prosperous period of Xixi. Local officials attached great importance to water conservancy management. Floods reduced and the land gradually became exposed. People raised silkworms on the shore and fish in ponds. There are no boats that can't get in here. It's very quiet and wild. Many literati and poets like to come here. Especially at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, many literati did not want to be officials in the Qing Dynasty, so they came to live in seclusion here, teach and paint, and support themselves. The cultural and educational undertakings here also developed. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, small-scale nunneries generally developed, with approximately more than 100 nunneries.

The nunneries here are very interesting, many of which are literati nunneries. The so-called literati nunnery means that literati often go to the nunnery to recite poems, paint, and meet friends, and the poets and monks in the nunnery often interact with the literati.

Fifth, from the Republic of China to 2002, Xixi Wetland changed a lot during this period. First, Xixi Wetland was transferred from Qiantang County to Hang County, became a suburb, and was transferred to Xihu District. Xixi Wetland has also developed into townships such as Jiangcun Township, Wuchang, Liuliu, Gudang, and Liangzhu. After liberation, many factories moved in, and the urbanization process here accelerated, causing great harm to the Xixi Wetland. The Xixi Wetland gradually shrank, and the water was also severely polluted.

As early as the middle and late Neolithic Age, there were ancestors living in Xixi. In the fifth year of Emperor Gao of the Han Dynasty (202 BC), Liu Bang defeated Chu. The following year, Liu Jia was granted the title of King of Jing, and Dongtai was the land of Guangling County, Dongyang County, Jing State. In the twelfth year of Emperor Gao of the Han Dynasty, Liu Bang named Liu Bi the King of Wu and established his capital in Guangling (now Yangzhou City). Dongtai belonged to the State of Wu. It was named "Hailing" because of its high location and close to the sea. In the sixth year of Yuanshou in the Western Han Dynasty (117 BC), Hailing County was established, covering the two towns of Haian and Xixi. The name Xixi also first appeared here.

Xixi was once the main place for collecting salt tax in history. Three famous prime ministers in the Northern Song Dynasty, Lu Yijian, Yan Shu and Fan Zhongyan, all worked as salt tax officials in Xixi, Taizhou in their early days.

According to legend, when Fan Zhongyan first came to Xixi, Taizhou to take office, someone once advised him not to be a tax collector in this small place. Fan Gong disagreed and replied with a smile:

Who knows? Xixi is small, but Xixi produces great talents.

I know that two prime ministers have come here.

The Xixi Scenic Area currently has Haichunxuan Tower, Phoenix Spring, a resort and the reading hall of Fan Zhongan, the Prime Minister of the Northern Song Dynasty. The legend of Dong Yong's hometown in "The Fairy's Match" is also here, and relics such as Dong Yong's tomb, Dong Yong's temple, old locust tree, Tutu Temple, Cilang River, and Songzitou are still preserved.

Now, as the birthplace of Dongtai local civilization, the Xixi tourist attraction development project will be fully launched in the near future.

Bohai Thatched Cottage

This is the manor of Zou Xiaozhi (a famous teacher) from Qiantang in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Mr. Zou enjoyed reading and Taoism, and did not seek to be educated. He and his two younger brothers farmed and studied here for their own entertainment, and they managed the family with poetry and etiquette. At that time, the area was full of reeds and full of wild charm. Viewed from a high place, the entire manor looked like a fairy island moored on the water, hence the name "Bolu". Xixi Water Pavilion

Xixi has many literati since ancient times. Many calligraphy treasures and footprints of literati were left on this land. Xixi Water Pavilion was mainly used by literati to collect books, study and meet friends. Today, the Xixi Water Pavilion has two libraries, the "Lanxi Bookstore" and the "Yong Bookstore", allowing visitors to follow the secluded leisure of the literati and hermits in the rich cultural atmosphere of Xixi.

Mei Zhu Villa

This was built by Zhang Fu (also known as Cibai) (approximately 1777-1857), a scholar from Qiantang in the Qing Dynasty. There are many ancient plums and bamboos in the village. According to historical records, Zhang Cibai made a great contribution to the excavation and dredging project of Xixi. He is a noble person, loves reading, and loves calligraphy and painting. He often invites friends to come here to recite poems and paint. Hence the name.

Shentankou

Shentankou is also known as Shenzhen Port. "Nanzhangzi" records: "Shentankou cannot be crossed without a boat; if you hear a dragon, the deep pool is unfathomable." "Therefore, Shentankou has become the location of Jiang Village's annual dragon boat festival. During the Dragon Boat Festival, people come and go in boats, which is very lively, adding a lot to the local customs of Xixi.

Xixi Meishu

Xixi Meishu is located in the southeast of the park, adjacent to the "Qiuxue'an" reserve, the essence of Xixi. The plum blossoms in Xixi are mainly along the chariot road in the Southern Song Dynasty. They have been very famous since ancient times, attracting many literati and elegant people to come to appreciate the plum blossoms. The "cold life teahouse" just confirms the artistic conception of the ancients, "the plum blossoms are reflected under the bamboo, and it is so quiet and serene that it makes people lose their fame and wealth."

Xixi Thatched Cottage

It was the villa of Feng Mengzhen (alias Kaizhi) (1546-1605), the imperial winemaker of the Imperial College in the late Ming Dynasty. Mengzhen worked in poetry and loved collecting. In his later years, he admired the beautiful scenery of Xixi River and built a mountain hall next to Yongxing Temple in Anleshan (now the West Lake Senior High School), named "Xixi Thatched Cottage". It is now moved here.

Qiuxue Nunnery

Qiuxue Nunnery was first built in the Song Dynasty and was originally named "Dasheng Nunnery". In the late Ming Dynasty, the Shen brothers in Xixi renovated the building and invited famous monks to abbot the nunnery; in the late Ming Dynasty, Chen Jiru took the poetic title of "Qiuxue Nunnery" from the Tang Dynasty's "Qiu Xue Meng Fishing Boat".

From 1919 to 1921, Nanxun celebrity Zhou Qingyun (named Mengpo) rebuilt it. Now it is rebuilt on the original site with reference to the pattern at that time.
