Where is the uterus in the navel?

Location of uterus:

The position of the uterus is to lean forward and bend forward, and the bottom of the uterus is two fingers wide below the navel. That is to say, when a woman stands upright, the uterus is almost horizontal and slightly bent forward, with the bottom of the uterus on the bladder, the cervix facing the lower end of the sacrum backwards, and the external opening of the cervix is about the level of the ischial spine. What does this position depend on? It turns out that the uterus has four pairs of ligaments, as well as the muscles and fascia of the pelvic floor to keep the uterus in a normal position. These four pairs of ligaments are: ① round ligament: it starts at the front of the two corners of the uterus and ends at the front of the labia majora, and its function is to keep the bottom of the uterus in a forward leaning posture. ② Broad ligament: A pair of winged peritoneal folds, starting from both sides of the uterus and reaching the pelvic wall. ③ Main ligament: It is a pair of tough smooth muscle and connective tissue fiber bundles at the lower part of the broad ligament, running between the two sides of the cervix and the pelvic wall. Also called cervical transverse ligament, it is an important tissue to fix the position of uterus. ④ Sacral ligament; From the upper side behind the cervix, bypass the rectum to both sides, and reach the front of the second and third sacrum. Ligament contains smooth muscle and connective tissue, which is short, thick and powerful, and can pull the cervix backwards and upwards, indirectly keeping the uterus in a forward leaning posture. Therefore, the normal position of the uterus is supported by four pairs of ligaments and pelvic floor muscles and fascia.
