Nansha Bridge, formerly known as Humen Second Bridge, is a sea-crossing bridge connecting Nansha District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China and shatian town City, Dongguan City. It is located in Shiziyang, Pearl River, which is the western end of Guanglong Expressway. It is another world-class bridge project in the Pearl River Delta after the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
The Nizhou Waterway Bridge of Nansha Bridge adopts a double-span suspension bridge with steel box girder covering the river surface. Tianyuan Earth Tower is also used for Dasha Waterway Bridge and Nizhou Waterway Bridge. ? In order to save land, the Gully Island Interchange of Daqiao adopts the design scheme of integral spiral ramp of circular interchange, which needs to go up and down three times. Seen from the air, the Oudao Interchange Bridge is like a huge note, which complements the two super-long river-crossing bridges.
Significance of opening Nansha Bridge to traffic;
Nansha Bridge is surrounded by transportation hubs such as Guangzhou South Railway Station and Shenzhen Baoan Airport, modern economic carriers such as Guangzhou Nansha Free Trade Zone and Dongguan Songshan Lake Science Park, and important innovative carriers such as Guangzhou University Town, Shenzhen Cloud Computing Center and Dongguan spallation neutron source.
The four cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Buddha connected by Nansha Bridge all occupy an important position in the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After the Nansha Bridge was opened to traffic, there was an additional crossing channel on the Pearl River. Nansha Bridge will connect the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary more directly, and undertake the distribution of factor resources and the division of production organization in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Foshan.
