2 1 Introduction of Longxian Bridge in Lu Xian County Many Liang Shi bridges are decorated with dragons and other sculptures. There are 170 such dragon bridges in Lu Xian county. These Dragon Bridges are like bright pearls, dotted with the land in Lu Xian County. Among them, Longnao Bridge has always been a national key cultural relics protection unit. In June 2006, Sichuan Provincial People's Government announced Longqiao Group in Lu Xian County as a cultural relic protection unit. The earliest construction time of Longqiao in Lu Xian County was in the Northern Song Dynasty, and it was the most popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. During the Republic of China and even in modern times, the custom of building bridges and carving dragons continued. On the main rivers that the official road crosses, it is presided over by the government and participated by the people; Folk fund-raising mostly builds Dragon Bridge on streams that must pass through, such as general township roads. Longnao Bridge is a typical representative of Dragon Bridge in Lu Xian County, and it is the largest Dragon Carved Slate Bridge in China, which was built during the Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty. In the forty-three years of Qianlong, "Yongning Road, Longnao Bridge of Jiuqu River, 90 miles north of Luzhou, was ordered to be protected". The existing bridge is 54m long, 1.9m wide and 5.3m high, with piers 12 and holes 13. Each beam and slab weighs nearly 5 tons, each bridge pier stone weighs nearly 7 tons, the dragon carving cast by the whole stone exceeds 14 tons, the treasure ball in Longkou weighs 50 kilograms, and the weight of a bridge unit exceeds 60 tons. The eight piers in the middle are carved with Kirin, Green Lion, Four Dragons, White Elephant and Kirin respectively from north to south, which is a must for Chinese bridge stone carving art! Luo, a famous expert on ancient architecture, commented: it is magnificent, magnificent, profound and resolute, well-proportioned, meticulous and regular, and unique and vivid, which is rare in China! The shape and structure of Longxian Bridge in Lu Xian County are similar to those in Longnao Bridge. The pier is carved with all kinds of auspicious things on the upstream side of the river. The head of the sculpture is at the upstream end of the river and the tail is at the downstream end. Most of them are round carvings, among which dragon carvings are the most. The dragon carving is in harmony with the bridge. There are at most 18 dragon sculptures on a dragon bridge, and there are 6 most well-preserved ones, at least 1. These dragon-based sculptures have their own characteristics, and none of them are the same. The Dragon Bridge in Lu Xian County is widely distributed, and it is a relatively concentrated area with a large number and exquisite carvings. Bridge architecture and dragon carving constitute a harmonious artistic beauty. This regional cultural phenomenon is proved by history, which lasted for nearly 1000 years from the Song Dynasty, and is also rare in the whole country. The construction and repair of Longqiao reflects the economic, political, cultural, traffic and social life of the time where Longqiao lived, as well as the historical situation of local towns and villages. The dragon carving skill of Longqiao in Lu Xian County is an important historical legacy of the inheritance and development of China stone carving art, fine arts and dragon culture.
