With the rapid economic development and population expansion in Guanzhong area, water resources are in serious shortage. It is impossible to meet the water demand of so many people only by water sources. Why? In the 1990s, Xi was seriously short of water and had to exploit groundwater on a large scale. However, the rapid decline of groundwater level has caused a series of problems, such as ground collapse, the accelerated inclination of Xi Wild Goose Pagoda and the bottom of the bell tower. In order to solve these problems, the project of introducing Han Hui Wei came into being, which will also be destined to become a century project that will benefit the audience. Hanjiang River is one of the most important reaches of the Yangtze River and occupies an important position in the history of China. Together with the Yangtze River, Yellow River and Huaihe River, it is also called Jianghuai Hehan. Hanjiang River is rich in water resources, with an average annual runoff of 24.5 billion cubic meters. The project of diverting the Han River into the Wei River is to introduce sweat into the Weihe River in Guanzhong and provide water for the Guanzhong area. Between the Han River and the Weihe River, there is the Qinling Mountains with an altitude of 1000 to 3000 meters, which is the biggest problem in the project of diverting the Han River into the Weihe River. Therefore, the only way is to cut through the Qinling Mountains and build water conveyance channels to guide the water from the Han River to the Weihe River.
The project of diverting Han River into Wei River is also called the South-to-North Water Transfer Project in Shaanxi. The starting point of the project is located in Huangjinxia Reservoir of Hanjiang River, and the water source of Huangjinxia Reservoir will pass through Sanhekou Reservoir and finally be injected into Huang Chao Gou Reservoir on the edge of Guanzhong Plain. Reservoirs can not only store excess water in the wet season, but also replenish water in time when the water supply of Huangshigou Reservoir downstream is insufficient. At the same time, they can collect and gather a large amount of water resources produced by rainfall on the Qinling Mountains through rivers. Subsequently, Sanhekou Reservoir introduced sweat into Huangchigou Reservoir on the edge of Guanzhong Plain through the 98.3km-long Qinling Tunnel. Qinling Tunnel is the first time in human history that a couple crossed China from the bottom, which is one of the north-south dividing lines, and it is the most critical link in the project of introducing Han into Wei. Huangchigou Reservoir is the first stop for sweat to enter Guanzhong Plain. From here, sweat can be introduced through the water channel to places such as why it is necessary to replenish water for the audience.
It is very difficult to build the project of diverting the Han River into the Weihe River, and it took nearly 1 1 year to get through the Huangshan Tunnel and the Qinling Tunnel. On February 22, 2022, the entire Qinling Tunnel ran through the reporters, and the project of diverting Han into Weihe River was about to become a reality. The geological structure of Qinling Mountains is complex, and there is a lot of granite at the bottom, so the excavation speed is very slow. Construction engineers not only have to endure the high temperature and humidity of the tunnel, but also face the danger of collapse and water inrush at all times. These two tunnels, even in China, known as the infrastructure madman, took more than ten years to complete. In order not to destroy the ecological environment of Qinling Mountains, the whole line should be built in areas with frequent population activities. Although the project of introducing Han into Wei has a huge investment and a long construction period, it is definitely a great project that benefits the people and future generations and can go down in history.
