(1). Also known as "wood carving". Wooden flying objects shaped like sculptures. "Book of the Later Han Dynasty·Zhang Heng Biography": "The wheel can make it rotate, and the wooden sculpture can still fly alone." Volume 10 of "Yiyuan" written by Liu Jingshu of the Southern Song Dynasty: "King Anli of Wei watched the flying sculpture and enjoyed it... Wu Ke has heard of the hermit traveler. The king is made of wood carvings."
(2). A person or object carved from wood. Lin Yao's "Youth of Chinese Arts and Crafts": "Here... there are also various wonderful handicrafts such as clay sculptures, dough sculptures, stone carvings, wood carvings, iron flowers, bamboo weaving, paper cutting, paper carvings, etc." Yang Shuo "Equator Snow": " He walked to the hotel counter, where there were various wooden carvings, including figures and rare animals from Tanganyika."
