Yunxi County is located in the northwest of Shiyan City, at the junction of Hubei and Shaanxi, at the apex of northwest Hubei, with the Han River in the south, Qinling Mountain in the north and Daba Mountain at the junction of Sichuan and Shaanxi in the southwest. It is named after Yunxian County in the west. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, which is called "there are mountains and rivers" in history. Located in the mountainous area of northwest Hubei, it belongs to the eastern Qinling Mountains. Except for the hilly basins along the Tianhe River at an altitude of 250-500m in the east, most of them are at an altitude of 700- 1200m, and Dalian (Jinpenliang) in the northwest is at an altitude of 1832m, which is the highest peak in the county. Hanjiang River flows through the southern border, and tributaries such as Tianhe River, Qianjin River and Xianhe River are injected from north to south.
