Wusu City, located at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain and the southwest edge of Junggar Basin, is a key area of Yili, Tacheng and Altay. It is an important gateway to Horgos, Baktu and Alashankou ports, and forms a "Golden Triangle" in northern Xinjiang with Dushanzi, a national petrochemical base, and Kuitun, a new commercial city. National Highway 3 12, the second continental bridge (railway) in Europe and Asia crosses the east and west, and Quesai high-grade highway. Wusu City, with a total area of 20,700 square kilometers and a total population of more than 370,000 people, is one of the cities approved by the State Council to open to the outside world, a county (city) with priority development in the western region of the autonomous region, and one of the high-quality cotton bases, grain bases and animal husbandry bases of the state and the autonomous region.
