Historical origin

Buddhist music is music developed from Brahma. The saying from the Three Kingdoms and the five major civilizations in India is, in layman's terms, the voice of monks chanting scriptures. It refers to praising the merit of Buddha and Bodhisattva with pure words, which means purity, abstinence, praise and singing. It belongs to the category of "fixed learning" of "three learning", and later it gradually extended to the general name of various singing methods in Buddhist ceremonies.

From the 6th century BC to the 5th century BC, the Buddha Sakyamuni used music when he founded Buddhism in India, and gave lectures on Buddhist scriptures by singing "Jing Jie Ya Jing". After the 3rd century BC, Buddhist music gradually spread to Asia and other parts of the world with Buddhism.
