Equipment: Ricoh GR II
This trip is the first time I took GRII back to Pingyao, and it is also the first time I photographed an ancient village in winter. At first, I didn't have a clue. I took a dozen shots aimlessly, and gradually got a little direction. It is very convenient for GRII to shoot human themes. Choose my favorite AV mode, and then turn the turntable according to the need of depth of field, which is very convenient.
Humboldt Village is located in the southeast of Pingyao ancient city, about 7 kilometers away from the ancient city. Originally, it was a "dilapidated place where no one wanted to stay", but because of an accidental opportunity, it became a "cornucopia" in the hearts of villagers. In recent years, it has hosted the production teams of more than ten TV dramas, such as Bright Sword, Wolf Poison Flower, Bethune, big doctor, Going to Japan, Saber and Iron Pear Flower.
According to the villagers, Humboldt Village was built in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, formerly known as Humboldt Village. Its founder was a Korean official named Hao Pudu. It is said that after he retired in his later years and returned to his hometown, he discovered this treasure trove of geomantic omen and settled here, gradually forming a self-contained Humboldt village. Hundreds of years ago, this village was surrounded by a moat. Now there are still rammed earth walls around the castle.
