The geographical environment of Liuzhou

Liuzhou is located in the north-central part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, between 23 54 ′ ~ 26 03 ′ north latitude and108 32 ′ ~10 28 ′ east longitude. It borders Longsheng County, Yongfu County and Lipu County in Guilin City in the east, Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County in Hechi City, Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County and Yizhou City in the west, Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Xiangzhou County, Xingbin District and Xincheng County in Laibin City in the south, and Tongdao Dong Autonomous County in Hunan Province, Liping County in Guizhou Province and congjiang county in the north and northwest respectively.

Liuzhou has a total area of 186 17 square kilometers, of which the urban area is about10/6.75 square kilometers, and the built-up area at the end of 20 13 is about 237.42 square kilometers. Total area 186 18 square kilometers, of which the urban area is 685 square kilometers. Liuzhou is flat and slightly undulating, with an altitude of 85 to 105 meters, surrounded by mountains on three sides, and has typical karst landform characteristics. Due to the influence of the urban area where Liujiang River flows and the climate, lithology and structure, a natural basin with overlapping river terrace landform and karst landform has been formed.

Liujiang River surrounds the peninsula-shaped Liubei Peninsula from north to south, then flows north, northeast, southwest and finally southeast, so Liubei Peninsula is known as "the first bonsai in the world". Mountain peaks are dotted between cities, such as Yufeng Mountain, Maanshan, Goose Mountain, Arrow Mountain, Wenbi Peak and Queer Mountain. There is Dole Rock in the south of the city, which is a typical cave. Liuzhou, located in the north-central part of Guangxi, has a subtropical monsoon climate. The main atmospheric circulation affecting Liuzhou is monsoon circulation, with southerly winds prevailing in summer, high temperature, high humidity and rainy days, northerly winds prevailing in winter, cold and dry, and little rain. Summer is long and winter is short, with the same season of rain and heat. There are abundant climatic resources of light, temperature and water, but there are great regional differences, and the climatic characteristics of mountainous areas in northern counties are obvious. The annual average solar radiation is 95 ~ 1 10 kcal/cm2, which is higher in the south than in the north, with the highest in July and August and the lowest in June and February. Average sunshine hours 1250 ~ 1570 hours. The temperature rises gradually from north to south. The average annual temperature in the north is18.1~19.4℃, and the rest is 20. 1 ~ 20.7℃. The interannual variation in the north is smaller than that in the middle and south, and the difference between the highest year and the lowest year is 1.3 ~ 2.0℃. In June+10/October, 65438, the average temperature in Leng Yue was 7.2 ~ 10.4℃, and the historical extreme minimum temperature was -2.5 ~-5.8℃, which could reach above -8℃ in extremely cold mountainous areas. The average temperature in July in the hottest month is 27.2 ~ 28.9℃, and the historical extreme maximum temperature is 38.6 ~ 39.5℃. The annual total accumulated temperature is 5700 ~ 6800℃, and the temperature difference between north and south is 1 100℃. The annual total rainfall is 1345 ~ 1940mm, but the regional distribution and seasonal changes are great. The rainy season generally begins in late April and ends in early September, during which precipitation accounts for more than 70% of the annual precipitation. Rainfall distribution is more in the north than in the south, and more in the mountains than in the plains. The Beijiang River Basin in Rongshui County is the rainy center of Liuzhou City, with an annual precipitation of over 2,000 mm and an average annual evaporation of 1.600 ~ 1.700 mm, which gradually decreases from south to north. The south 1.700mm is more than the precipitation, and it is in a semi-humid and semi-dry state, while the precipitation in the north mostly exceeds the evaporation, and the climate is humid.

The meteorological disasters in Liuzhou mainly include: low temperature, rainy weather and drought in spring, rainstorm and flood in summer, thunderstorm and strong wind at the turn of spring and summer, hail in some places, cold dew wind and drought in autumn, and cold wave freezing injury in winter. In 2007, Liujiang, a 444.4-kilometer administrative region of Liuzhou City, had a river length of 372.4 kilometers and a compliance rate of 83.8%. Two water supply sources in Liuzhou city were monitored and evaluated, one of which reached excellent grade and the other was general grade. Continue to maintain the national Class III water quality standard for surface water.

In 2009, Liujiang drinking water protection reach continued to maintain the national Class III water quality standard for surface water, and some of them reached Class II water quality standard.

Liuzhou City belongs to Liujiang River Basin of Xijiang River Basin of Pearl River system as a whole. Liujiang is the largest river in China, which originates from dushan county and Ding Cun. Its upper reaches include Liu Du, Jiang Xun and Rongjiang. Rongjiang River is called Liujiang River after it meets Longjiang River from Guizhou in Fengshan, Liucheng County. Liujiang River flows through Liucheng County, Liujiang District, urban area and Luzhai County, and reaches the Sanjiangkou near Shilong in Xiangzhou County, with a total length of 272 kilometers. Rainwater collection area is 58,398 square kilometers. Liujiang entered the city from the dew pool. It passes through a section of the city and winds the northern peninsula of Liuzhou into a pot shape, so Liuzhou has another name of "pot city".
