Chen Tingjing was the most trusted person of Kangxi and the first official of the Qing Dynasty.

Chen Tingjing was born in Yangcheng, Zezhou, in the Qing Dynasty, with the name Yan Shuo and later Wu Ting. Shunzhi fifteen years to Jishi Shu. Chu, a branch with the same name, was given the word "pavilion" by the court and changed to pavilion classics.

He has been a lecturer, president of Kangxi Dictionary, minister of industry, minister of household affairs, scholar of Wenyuange, minister of punishment, minister of official affairs and editor-in-chief of Kangxi Dictionary. Chen Tingjing's works and poems are far-sighted and elegant. Sikuquanshu contains 50 volumes of Wu Ting's Editions, including 20 volumes of poems and 3 volumes of Wu Ting Mountain People's Two Sets. Wu Ting Mountain Village, built in Chen Tingjing's hometown, has been preserved to this day.

Chen Tingjing is not only a famous minister, but also a great scholar. He is quite accomplished in poetry. According to records, in the Qing Draft, Emperor Kangxi commented that Chen Tingjing's poems were "elegant and mellow". Chen Tingjing is the editor-in-chief of Kangxi Dictionary. In the forty-ninth year of Kangxi, the emperor ordered Zhang Yushu and Chen Tingjing to take the lead in compiling a big dictionary. In the second year after editing, Zhang Yushu died, leaving Chen Tingjing as CEO. It is the first dictionary named after "Dictionary" in China and the first official dictionary in the history of China. When Chen Tingjing led the compilation of this dictionary, he was over 70 years old and devoted himself to it. It is said that among the compilers of this big dictionary is Chen Tingjing's son Chen Zhuanglu, whose name is in a book. Unfortunately, when the dictionary came out, Chen Tingjing had died, so he could not see the publication of Kangxi Dictionary with his own eyes.

Chen Tingjing is honest in politics. 0755 to 79000 were rated as "diligent". In the official residence, when Chen Tingjing was a minister, his family was severely punished, and people who misbehaved or sought personal gain by giving gifts and bribes were not allowed to enter. When he served in the Ministry of Rites, he made a rule: "From courtship, never ask for help in the Ministry and never give any inheritance."

" But Emperor Kangxi's more widely known evaluation of Chen Tingjing is eight words: "generous and mature, almost perfect".
