Vehicle model is a number composed of pinyin letters and Arabic numerals assigned to a type of vehicle for the purpose of identifying the vehicle. According to national standard 9417-88, domestic car models should be able to indicate the make, type and main characteristic parameters of the car. Refers to the name given by the manufacturer to vehicles of the same type, brand, type, series and body type.
The content of vehicle coding has five parts:
1. Company name code;
2. Vehicle category code;
3. Main parameter code;
4. Product serial number;
5. Enterprise-defined code.
