Brief introduction of imperial concubine
Wei Guifei (597 -665), a native of Ling Du County, Jingzhao, was one of the most important nobles in the Tang Dynasty. It was very influential in Jingzhao area in Tang Dynasty, and there was a folk saying that "Dewey in the south of the city went to Wu Tianchi". Wei Xuan, a native of Jingzhao, is one of the four surnames of the "Wu Liweiyang" marriage political group described by Mr. Chen Yinque.
Wei Xuan's father Wei Yuancheng died when she was very young, and Wei Yuancheng's younger brother Wei Kuangbo inherited the title. So Wei Jue is probably the only son of Wei Yuancheng.
In 627 (the first year of Zhenguan), she was made your wife by Emperor Taizong, ranking one of the four ladies (top grade). In 650 (the first year of Yonghui), she was made a title and went out with the King of Qi. In 665 (the second year of Linde), he died and was buried with Zhaoling.

After Luoyang City was breached, Li Shimin established a big family in the city, placed his cronies and managed Luoyang. Around this period, he married Webster's sister Wei Jue and cousin Wei Nizi; In the future, my cousin will be an imperial concubine and my cousin will be Zhao Rong.
According to the epitaph, Wei Guifei is beautiful in appearance, personable, moderate in advance and retreat, and has both morality and appearance; In particular, he wrote a good article, which was famous at that time. Because of this, the king of Qin heard his fame and was incorporated into the state affairs. Three years later, in 624 (the seventh year of Wude), Wei Jue and Li Shimin gave birth to their only daughter, Princess Linchuan.
In 627 (the first year of Zhenguan), Emperor Taizong made Wei Jue the imperial concubine, ranking one of the four ladies (the first grade). Wei Jue was 30 years old at that time. In 628 (the second year of Zhenguan), Wei Jue gave birth to Li Shimin's only son Li Shen.
Wei Xuan's imperial concubine career, history books and epitaph are all precious words. The only certainty is that Wei Xuan was deeply loved by Emperor Taizong, but he was never proud of it, but he was polite. In 650 (twenty-third year of Zhenguan), Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, died, and Wei Xuan was made a concubine by Tang Gaozong, who moved to San Francisco with his son Shen Li. According to Wei Xuan's epitaph, Wei Xuan lived a comfortable life in his later years, and his children didn't bother him. Ji Wang is more sleepy in the morning and very filial. Tang Gaozong also respected Wei Guifei very much. He not only gave it to his elders when he visited Zhaoling, but also invited Wei Xuan to have a banquet with Gao Zongwu when he was in Beijing.
In 665 (the second year of Linde, Tang Gaozong), Wei Jue and Yan Shi, the imperial concubine of the State of Yue, accompanied Gaozong to meditate in Mount Tai. On the way, they fell ill in Luoyang. Tang Gaozong sent doctors and eunuchs to visit. However, Wei Guifei was old after all, and died in Lididun, Henan on September 28th at the age of 69.
Wei Guifei recorded in history and Wei Guifei in the TV series The Legend of Wu Mei Niang are almost two completely different people. Wei Guifei, played by Zhang Ting in the TV series, is even worse. She goes against Yang everywhere and drives pregnant Liu Xianfei to death.

In the 1990s, among many tombs buried with Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, archaeologists excavated the tombs with the highest specifications and closest to Zhaoling. It is confirmed that this tomb is the tomb of Wei Guifei Wei Jue. According to historical records, Wei Jue died at the age of 69, and the final archaeological result is that her height is 190 cm. According to the law of human aging, human bones began to shrink at the age of 30, so you can imagine how tall Wei Jue was when he was young.
According to various data, there may be two reasons why Wei Guifei is so tall. One is that he pays attention to exercise, so he is in good health, and the other is that his family has good genes.
Let's talk about the first reason first. When archaeologists excavated the tomb, they were surprised to find that Wei Guifei's teeth were intact. Imagine how many people could have a good tooth at the age of 69 in ancient times when their life span was short and the means of tooth protection were underdeveloped. Even today, it is rare for most people. As for the second reason, history books give us a good answer. Wei Xuan's grandfather, Xu Wei, held many senior military posts, such as General Fu Guo and General You. As for her grandfather's father, Wei Xiaokuan, a famous strategist, he can still gallop on the battlefield at the age of 765,438+0. And her grandfather and father also picked up a title of generals in ancient times, opened the instrument and made a phone call with senior officials such as Chen Sansi, Shen Liangzhou Secretariat and so on, calling them a family.
