Why do tomb robbers say "bury the mountain but not the top"?

This is a popular term that was summed up by tomb robbers. It means that you should not choose the top of the mountain to bury the dead. It is not that the mausoleums in history were not hidden on the top of the mountain. The original meaning of the word "ling" is the top of the mountain (for example, "There is no mausoleum in the mountain, and the river is exhausted..." The mausoleum here is the top of the mountain). Tombs from the Spring and Autumn Period, the Warring States Period, and the early Western Han Dynasty were generally buried at the highest point of the mountain, or near the top of the mountain. Tombs in the middle and late Western Han Dynasty were generally buried on mountains, not the highest place. Most of the tombs from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties were dug halfway up the mountain; the tombs from the Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty to Song Dynasty were generally buried on the mountainside or at the bottom of the hillside. Especially in the Tang Dynasty, the tombs of important people were chosen to be built inside mountains, that is, they were dug into the mountains. The Qianling Mausoleum is a special example. It is this type of large tomb that most makes tomb robbers "sigh with excitement". Why is there such an evolution as "from the top of the mountain, to the mountainside, and gradually over the hillside"? This is mainly because people's understanding of Feng Shui is also gradually understood from the shallower to the deeper. ?I saw the mountains in the distance rolling up and down, with some ups and downs, which are called dragon veins in Yuxue. Why do mountains rise? It is the function of Qi. It is the earth's Qi in the dragon's veins that is running. When the Qi is strong, it makes the ground rise. The highest place is also the place with the strongest earth energy. The dragon veins gradually decrease. When the mountains disappear completely, there must be a river in front. In Kanyuology, it is said that "qi stops when it meets water." During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, cemeteries were chosen on the highest mountaintops because the highest place was the place with the most auspiciousness. But why did you choose "ridge" or "slope" later? There is also a saying in Kanyu theory that "qi will disperse when it encounters the wind." Although the top of the mountain is full of auspiciousness, the wind blows constantly on the top of the mountain. That is to say, the wind at the top is stronger than at the lower place, which blows away the auspiciousness released by the dragon veins. The highest place is not the most auspicious place. Therefore, when people later chose a cemetery, they lowered the location and chose ridges or slopes as burial caves.
