Langgu Scenic Spot is located in Longzhou Town, 22 kilometers southeast of Jingbian County, Shaanxi Province. It is a typical basin-type canyon surrounded by red rocks and green waters. Fiona Fang is covered with red sandstone as long as 100 km, which is very similar to the trough in Arizona.
There is a white line between the reds of Arizona Langgu, and the reds of Jingbian Langgu are dominant.
The rock in the trough is called red sandstone, academically called "soft sandstone" and geologically called Danxia landform, which is named because sandstone particles are like waves. Most of the red sandstone in Longzhou is covered with thick loess.
With tens of millions of years of strong winds and seasonal rainstorms on the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, red hills gradually emerged and were "carved" into various shapes by nature. The scenic area is large, divided into three parts: Shuidanxia District, Huodanxia District and Geocentric Danxia District. The road signs are not clear, only the signs of "Danxia area on the water" and "Danxia area on the flame", so you need to find your own way.
Shuidanxia district
This area is most recommended. There are relatively few tourists, there is water next to them, and the photos are layered and colorful, which is very suitable for flying drones. Drive past and park in the parking lot every time 10 yuan. If you have any questions, ask the villagers who collect money directly. You can see the scenic spots such as Longan Spring and Crocodile Lake here, and the tour time takes about 1 to 2 hours.
Flame Danxia area
There are three observation decks, and there are many people. It is strongly recommended that "Jiuqu Yellow River" is the farthest place, and the landform is very consistent with the name "trough". Near the foot of the cliff is gravel, which is very slippery. Be safe. Tour time: 1 hour or so.
Danxia District, Di Xin
The tourist area is the largest and the tourists are the most concentrated. There are three or four parking spots, all connected by walkways. You can drive as far as Ximentai City and Yanjiazhai, or walk back to visit. The plank road here has not been repaired, and the steep slope of the dirt road is not suitable for the elderly and children. It is suggested that the car stop at Longhuitou Scenic Area and take the plank road for sightseeing. This part of the plank road has a large slope, a long distance, consumes a lot of physical strength, dehumanizes the steps and is easy to slip. The trip will take about two hours.
Among them, there will be a cruise ship near Yanjiazhai along the plank road, and turn left at the bottom. After repairing the pier, turning right is the so-called sight. You see, the entrance is very narrow, and there may be falling rocks in the rainy season, so it is not safe to go in. This part is characterized by walking at the bottom of the canyon, and the scenery is not as good as Danxia on the water.
It is recommended to have a telephoto lens to shoot the details and figures of Danxia landform. If you have a drone, be sure to bring it. The terrain here is open and there are no obstacles, which is very suitable for flying. If there is sunshine on the day of travel, the color will be very beautiful.
Accommodation: It is recommended to stay in Jingbian County. Accommodation conditions are relatively good, and they are all concentrated in the center of the county. It's too late to find them now. The price of a standard room is about 100-200 per night, which is relatively clean and tidy.
Jingbian County is more than 20 kilometers away from Longzhou Danxia Langgu Scenic Area, which can be reached by half an hour's drive. At 6: 30, after breakfast in the county, the number of tourists has not increased. At present, there are some farmhouses near Danxia Langgu Scenic Area in Longzhou. The visual inspection conditions are general, there is a reception tour, and a tourist bus is parked at the door.
