How to install composite floor by yourself
Solid wood floor is a very common floor in the current floor market, and it is also the choice of many friends. The quality of solid wood floor installation is directly related to the service life of the floor. Let's introduce the installation method of solid wood floor and the matters needing attention in the installation of solid wood floor. Installation method of solid wood floor 1, laying PE film: PE film should overlap more than 200mm, and be firmly compacted with 60mm wide adhesive tape with 50mm wall edge. Sprinkle with insect powder. (PE film is one of the highlights of life service. The main function of PE film is to prevent moisture from invading and to avoid the floor from being deformed due to the change of moisture content. 2. Fixing the keel: Fix the keel firmly with keel nails, leaving a distance of 10- 15 mm between the keel and the wall or other ground materials. 3. Leveling of keel: measured by 2m ruler, the height of main chord is ≤3mm. 4. Paving plywood: plywood thickness ≥5mm, moisture content 7%- 12%. The area of each splint shall not exceed 600* 1200mm, and an expansion joint of 8- 12mm shall be left between each splint. (Depending on local conditions, a layer of plywood will be pasted in some areas after keel installation). 5. Laying floor mats: The floor mats should not overlap, and the joints should be glued flat with 60mm wide tape. The edge of the wall should be 30 mm to 50 mm upward. If it is damaged, it should be pasted with adhesive tape. 6. Color separation of floors: Before the installation of solid wood floors, all floors should be disassembled and pre-paved, and the color difference and paving effect should be confirmed, and the customers' satisfaction should be adjusted, otherwise, the floors should not be paved. 7. Floor paving: 8- 12mm expansion joints are reserved on all sides (this is very important), and staggered joints are used for paving. The staggered joints are not less than 300 mm, and the short board in the packing box is used first. If it is necessary to cut a long board by scribing, the short board to be cut shall not be less than 300 mm..8. Nailing the floor: To lay the floor, nail the floor, drill holes at a 45 angle with a hand electric drill, and then nail the floor. Air nails are not allowed. The number of nails in each layer shall not be less than three. (Note: the drill bit should be thinner than the nail, otherwise the floor will loosen abnormally) 9. Installation of skirting line: The skirting line can be installed after the solid wood floor is installed. 10. cleaning: after installation, clean along the floor. Matters needing attention in installation of solid wood floor 1. In order to ensure that the ground is dry, flat and free of sundries, the installation of solid wood floors should usually be carried out after the completion of other decoration projects. The uneven ground will make some floors and keels suspended, and it will make an unpleasant noise when stepping on them. Second, to prevent the wooden keel from drying, the moisture content of the keel is usually around 25%, while the moisture content of qualified solid wood floors is generally around 12%. If the humidity difference is too large, the solid wood floor will absorb moisture quickly, causing the floor to bulge and the paint surface to burst. During construction, lay the floor first, and then carry out other construction on the floor. But in this way, after the floor is paved, it often takes a month or more to polish and paint. During this period, the floor is not isolated from the water vapor and chemicals in the surrounding environment, which is likely to lead to the deformation of the wood floor due to the rapid change of moisture content. The keel shall be made of dry, flat wood with specifications of 3×50px or 4×62.5px After the keel is leveled, the keel shall be fixed on the ground with steel nails. Third, prevent the assembly from being too loose or too tight. When buying wood, you must find a company with a good brand reputation to buy it. When inspecting the goods, you might as well have a hygrometer to test the humidity of the wood, so as to be foolproof. Need to be reminded that the wood should be stored indoors for two or three days after being bought back, and construction should be carried out after being adapted to the local atmosphere. Before construction, the ground should also be kept dry, and a moisture-proof layer should be laid. In this way, the wood will hardly deform again. Fourth, prevent the use of wooden wedges and nails. In the construction, the contact surface between wooden wedges and nails is too small, resulting in insufficient nail holding force, which is easy to cause the wooden keel to loosen and make a noise when stepping on the floor. Prevent the floor length direction from being inconsistent with the door direction. During construction, it must be noted that the length direction of the floor should be consistent with the direction of the door to ensure a good visual effect.
