Anyone who knows a little about China's traditional culture will be familiar with the Eight Immortals. The so-called "Eight Immortals" refer to Han Zhongli, Zhang, Cao Guojiu, Han Xiangzi, Lan Caihe and He Xiangu. , are mortal, only through penance practice into immortality. The only female among the Eight Immortals is He Xiangu. She is like the only little red in the evergreen tree of the Eight Immortals, so she is particularly eye-catching. He Xiangu, formerly known as He Qiong, was born in an ordinary peasant family in Lingling in the first year of Yao Kai, Tang Gaozong. The locals said that on the day when He Qiong was born, a bright and auspicious Ziyun hung over the upper part of He's hut, and a group of cranes flew up and down in the Ziyun. In a short time, a robust sika deer rushed into He's home with a girl with pigtails and a red Chinese-style chest covering. At this time, He's mother gave birth to a chubby baby girl. Lingling, the hometown of He Qiong, is a treasure trove of geomantic omen. It is located at the intersection of Xiaoxiang, with Hengshan Mountain in the north and Wuling Mountain in the south. It is the gateway of Chu and Yue. There is a mica mountain in the west of Lingling County. The mountain is rich in five-color mica, which is an ancient medicinal material seeking immortality by eating. A clear and winding stream goes down the mountain, called mica stream, and He Qiong's family is on the beautiful mica stream. He Qiong, who grew up drinking mica water, became a beautiful girl. Since she was a child, she likes to play and stroll by mica creek alone. At the age of fourteen, she met a white-haired old man with a long beard by a mica stream. The old man asked her some local scenery, and He Qiong answered wisely. The old man is very happy. He took out a fresh flat peach from his backpack and handed it to He Qiong. He Qiong took it, thanked the old man, and then ate flat peaches three times, five times and twice. The old man watched her finish eating, smiled and nodded, turned and disappeared. After returning home, He Qiong hasn't felt hungry for several days, so he doesn't want to eat, but his spirit is stronger than before. A month later, He Qiong met the old man by the mica stream again. This time, the old man took her to mica mountain and taught her how to collect mica and how to eat it. According to him, He Qiong went to Mica Mountain to eat mica every day, and gradually felt as light as a swan, traveling to and from the top of the mountain and walking like a fly. Besides, she can identify and select all kinds of pills on the mountain, treat all kinds of diseases for people nearby and predict personnel, so people around her call her "He Xiangu". The news of He Qiong's success spread like wildfire and finally reached the ears of Wu Zetian in Beijing Palace. At that time, Wu Zetian was the queen of Tang Gaozong, but she held the real power of the court. Wu Zetian was influenced by her mother and believed in Buddhism since she was a child. After becoming a queen, she tried her best to praise Buddhism in the palace and all over the country, in order to overwhelm the momentum of worshipping Taoism in Li Tang's period, and took some Buddhist scriptures as the theoretical basis for her usurpation. Buddhism "Fa Xiang Zong" preaches "two emptiness", that is, treating oneself and everything as nothingness, so as to achieve the lofty realm that everything in the universe is one with me. In layman's terms, it is to feel with your heart, forget everything about me, and let yourself soar during the day, soar in the clouds and live forever. Wu Zetian is very convinced of this. I heard that there is a He Xiangu in Lingling, which can go to and from the top of the mountain freely. She is very interested. She specially sent someone to visit and gave He Xiangu a morning glow suit. He Xiangu accepted the morning glow suit and put it on happily. When people around him heard the news, they came from all directions to see it. They saw He Xiangu glowing as if she were a fairy. The villagers couldn't help kneeling on the ground in fear and prostrating themselves before He Xiangu. He Xiangu felt quite complacent, but her mother was frightened and thought, "Who dares to marry such a daughter?" As expected, when He Xiangu was eighteen, her mother earnestly asked the matchmaker to choose a husband for her. Although He Xiangu used to be as beautiful as flowers and pure as jade, no one dared to marry her because of her great ability. What mother worried that He Xiangu herself was helpless. She wandered around the countryside of Shan Ye all day, busy collecting herbs and treating diseases, and had a daughter.
One day, He Xiangu went deep into the dense forest of Mica Mountain to collect herbs and met two magical people. One of them is a lame old man, leaning on an iron cane and carrying a huge wine gourd on his back. He is in rags and looks like a beggar. The other wore a neat blue shirt with a medicine hoe and a medicine basket on his shoulder, and his expression was very elegant. Not far in front of He Xiangu, two mulberry people, one by one, whispered. After a while, they flew away and suddenly disappeared. These two men are Tie Guai Li and Lan Caihe of the Eight Immortals. He Xiangu noticed their appearance, chanting the formula of stealing from school, and was able to fly over Lingfeng Mountain Valley like them. Since then, she has often come to the mountains to practice quietly, becoming more and more skilled in posture and flying farther and farther. Using this kind of kung fu, she often flies to distant mountains and rushes back and forth, bringing back some grotesque mountain fruits for her family to taste. The whole family felt sweet and delicious after eating it, and their spirits doubled, but after all, they didn't know what fruit it was. Seeing that she goes out early and comes back late every day, her mother is puzzled and asks where she went and what she did. He Xiangu couldn't beat her mother, saying that she went to the famous mountains and fairyland every day and talked with the immortal Buddha about Buddhism and Taoism. Gradually, the news that He Xiangu understood Buddhism and Taoism spread again. Hearing this, Wu Zetian sent messengers to Lingling to prepare chariots and horses, and called He Xiangu to Luoyang, the eastern capital, to discuss Buddhism and Taoism. The officers followed He Xiangu to Luoyang City. While they were waiting for the boat to cross waterinfo, they suddenly disappeared. The envoys panicked and hurriedly ordered people to look around, but found no clues. Everyone was so scared that they sat in a daze by the Luohe River. At dusk, He Xiangu descended from the sky and said to the emissary, "I have gone to the Forbidden Palace to visit the Tianhou Palace. You can go back to North Korea and get your life back. " The envoys returned to Luoyang Palace with a grain of salt. Inquired about it, and sure enough, He Xiangu went to visit the marquis of Wu on the same day and had a long talk with her in the palace, which surprised the envoys. In order to repay He Xiangu's kindness, Wu Zetian specially ordered the local officials of Lingling to build a magnificent Huixian Pavilion in the South Phoenix Terrace of Lingling as a place for He Xiangu to give lectures and preach. After giving lectures, He Xiangu often sits on the stone steps in front of the museum, eats a round fairy fruit and throws stones everywhere. Later, litchi trees grew around Huixian Pavilion. Litchi on these trees are all green-skinned litchi, which is called "on the Phoenix Platform, litchi hangs green".
