We know that in the process of planting trees, some areas are also being cut down, and due to the rapid growth of population, the vegetation in many areas has been greatly reduced. In order to meet people's living needs, many places that used to be forests have been reclaimed into living places. However, because the soil itself relies heavily on the protection of vegetation and the local natural environment factors, it naturally becomes a high incidence area of desertification.
As far as precipitation is concerned, the precipitation in this area of the Loess Plateau is about 150~750 mm, and the unit of measurement is half a year. It is reasonable to say that this precipitation is more than some grassland areas, but the problem also lies in this precipitation.
Because there is little precipitation in the Loess Plateau in spring and summer, mainly in summer and autumn, but because of the extremely uneven precipitation, there will be a lot of soil erosion in these two seasons, thus forming a vicious circle year after year.
Secondly, due to the relatively high terrain of the Loess Plateau itself, coupled with excessive logging in the past, there is almost no vegetation cover here, and the concentration of precipitation leads to more serious soil erosion here than in other areas, so even if other places gradually get rid of the desert landform in the process of greening, the Loess Plateau remains the same.
