Mountain, medicine, fortune-telling, fortune-telling, and divination are collectively called the five arts of metaphysics. According to legend, more than 4,600 years ago, the Yellow Emperor received help from the gods and taught him heavenly books to break Chiyou's magic and capture and kill Chiyou to unify the world. After the Yellow Emperor calmed down the war, he ordered Cangjie to create characters and record the various secret techniques in the heavenly book taught by Jiutian Xuannu. This book was later regarded as a treasure by people in the world, the "Golden Seal and Jade Letter".
The secret book left by the Yellow Emperor was obtained by Jiang Taigong in Kunlun Mountain during the Zhou Dynasty. He used the alchemy in the secret book to help Zhou defeat Zhou, which enabled the Zhou Dynasty to rule for eight hundred years. During the Warring States Period, it was passed to Guiguzi, the ancestor of Wang Chan. He passed on his secret skills to his apprentices - Su Qin, Zhang Yi, Sun Bin and Pang Juan, who became famous generals and ministers at that time. In the Han Dynasty, Zhang Liang obtained the secret book from Huang Shigong, which lasted for four hundred years. In this way, the "Golden Seal and Jade Letter" was passed down from generation to generation in a magical way. During the Three Kingdoms era, it was passed into the hands of Zhuge Liang, helping him to win three parts of the world. During the Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui, Tang, and Five Dynasties, although there were people who obtained the "Golden Seal Script and Jade Letter", most of them were incomplete. For example, Zhuge Liang obtained Taoism, and Guo Pu and Yang Junsong obtained Kanyu Technique (Yin Yang Feng Shui). In the Song Dynasty, the person who obtained the "Gold Seal and Jade Letter" was Zhu Xi, a great scholar of the generation and a prolific scholar. In the Ming Dynasty, Liu Ji (also known as Bowen) obtained the "Golden Seal Script and Jade Letter" and helped Zhu Yuanzhang establish the Ming Dynasty, but then retired. "The Golden Seal Script and Jade Letter" has been circulated for four thousand years. During this period, the contents were scattered, lost, added or deleted, or there were differences, resulting in many schools, which can be roughly divided into: mountain, medicine, fortune, fortune-telling, and divination, collectively known as the five arts of metaphysics.
So what are mountains, medicine, fortune-telling, fortune-telling, and divination? Let me briefly explain here: "Mountain" includes three parts: "Xuan Dian", "Health Preservation", and "Cultivation of Secrets", which are secret techniques for cultivating the mind and body, and exercising; "Medicine" includes three parts: "Prescription" and "Acupuncture" , "Spiritual Healing"; "Phase" part includes two types: "Human Phase" and "Earth Phase"; "Fate" is a method to judge people's destiny based on the relationship between time and space. The important methods are: "Astrology" "Divination Technique", "Stem and Branch Technique"; "Divination" Technique has the longest history, such as "Plum Blossom Yishu", "Najia Duanyi", "Liu Ren Shen Ke", "Tai Yi Shen Shu", "Qi Men Dun Jia", etc. Most military strategists in historical dynasties are proficient in mathematics, such as Zhuge Liang of the Han Dynasty, Li Chunfeng of the Tang Dynasty, Shao Kangjie of the Song Dynasty, Liu Bowen of the Ming Dynasty, Zeng Guofan of the Qing Dynasty, etc.
Although some of the previous contents are all legends, it is an indisputable fact that mountains, medicine, fortune-telling, fortune-telling, and divination have the same origin. They all use the core reasoning tools of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements to judge the development trend of things. and coping strategies are the most important oriental sciences in traditional Chinese culture. Those who are doctors (TCM) must know this origin.
Originally, Shan, Yi, Xiang, Ming, and Divination are five blood brothers, and their destinies are closely related. However, some people in the traditional Chinese medicine community regard Shan, Xiang, Fate, and Divination as superstitious and denounce them. It is really not a wise move to criticize someone. Just like an apple tree has five branches, when we desperately say that the apples on the other four branches are sour, then who will believe that the apples on your branch are sweet? The end result is that the entire apple tree is cut down, and Chinese medicine is extinct.
The contemporary craze for traditional Chinese medicine must be based on the craze for Chinese traditional studies. Otherwise, traditional Chinese medicine is soilless cultivation and cannot grow into a towering tree. At the same time, the revival of traditional Chinese medicine must be accompanied by the revival of mountains, fortune-telling, fortune-telling, and divination. Otherwise, a single tree cannot become a forest, and we cannot talk about the revitalization of traditional Chinese medicine. Since mountains, medicine, physiology, fortune, and divination have different origins, we can learn from the origins of mountains, physiognomy, fortune, and divination to find the context and origin of ancient Chinese medicine. We need to know this and study hard.
