The highest peak in Fuzhou, the East Lake Pinta, is located in the southwest of Yongtai County. It is a part of Shi Niu Shan caldera, which is composed of Cretaceous Shimaoshan Group volcanic rocks. The mountain extends from north to south, with a length of 5000 meters and a width of 2500 meters. The altitude is above1500m, and the highest point, Donghu Peak, is1682m above sea level.
