Tangshan Caofeidian Port Area is located in Caofeidian Island, Nanbao District, 70 kilometers south of Tangshan City. It is a long and narrow sandbar 0/8km away from the coast, named after the original Cao Fei Temple on the island. It is 33 nautical miles east of Jingtang Port, 230km east of Beijing, 870km east of Qingdao, 300km east of Beilun Port/KLOC-0 and 300 km east of Dalian Port.
The natural conditions in the port area are very good, and the water depth in the southwest and south of the island is good. 600 meters offshore is the deep trough sea area of the main tidal channel in Bohai Bay. The long-term natural action of history gives Caofeidian Port the advantage of inshore deep water. The pre-island 10m isobath is 200-500m away from the 0m isobath, the water depth in the pre-island 500m reaches 20-30m, and the water depth in the 25m is directly connected to the Bohai Strait, so there is no need to excavate the navigation channel and harbor basin. The average elevation of Caofeidian is more than 2.0 meters, and the highest point is more than 3.0 meters. It is about 17 kilometers away from the existing land shore, and a large shoal in the middle is 0.6-2.7 meters above sea level. The meteorological, hydrological and geological conditions in the port area are very good, and the amount of development and construction is small.
Caofeidian has convenient traffic conditions. Shugang Railway can connect Jingshan, Qin Jing and Daqin. Road transportation is sparse, and three domestic expressways connecting Beijing-Shenyang, Jintang and Tanggang are connected with the national expressway network, supplemented by 1 1 national highways and provincial highways. It can directly supply imported iron ore to users in North China, saving the cost of railway round-trip transportation. In terms of waterway transportation, Caofeidian Port Area is located in the middle of Bohai Port Group, with a moderate distance from all ports and convenient waterway transit transportation conditions. In the Bohai Economic Circle, the economic hinterland of Caofeidian Port directly faces the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Zone and can extend to the northwest. Superior economic location conditions. It is in a middle position in the layout of deep-water ports around Bohai Sea and the eastern coast.
The development and construction of Caofeidian Port Area is an objective demand for the development of steel and petrochemical industry in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and its surrounding areas. In the economic structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and its surrounding areas, steel, petrochemical and other industries have a decisive influence in the country. In North China, Shougang Group, Tangshan Iron and Steel Group, Xuanhua Iron and Steel Group, Baotou Steel, Tiangang, Chenggang and other imported ores are in great demand, and petrochemical enterprises such as Yanshan Petrochemical, Tianjin Petrochemical, Shijiazhuang Refinery and Cangzhou Refinery are in great demand for imported crude oil. The most economical and reasonable ship type for ocean transportation of imported ore and crude oil is 200,000-250,000 tons.
Caofeidian has great potential for comprehensive development. Its geographical and water depth conditions can develop more than 250,000 tons of multi-professional and multi-purpose berths, including bulk cargo terminals such as imported iron ore and crude oil, and the combined configuration of small and medium-sized transshipment and bulk cargo terminals, with outstanding scale advantages. Caofeidian Port Area not only has excellent economic and geographical resources for rational layout and development of large-scale deep-water ports, but also has unique conditions for building large-scale deep-water terminals in groups. A large area of state-owned beaches behind the port area can be used for large-scale industrial development and port-facing industry development. From the perspective of optimizing the industrial allocation in Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan region, relying on large-scale deep-water ports not only provides strong support for the development of pillar industries in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, but also provides development space for the transfer and diffusion of traditional industries in Beijing-Tianjin. Caofeidian Port Area is at the forefront of Bohai Economic Circle. The development and construction of Caofeidian Port Area is also conducive to improving the layout of deep-water ports around Bohai Sea.
[Edit this paragraph] Introduction of Tangshan Caofeidian Project
Caofeidian is located on the west bank of Bohai Bay in the south of Tangshan, between Tianjin Port and Jingtang Port. It is the most obvious feature and advantage of Caofeidian, which provides unique conditions for the development and construction of large-scale deep-water ports and port-facing industries.
First, Caofeidian's unique natural geographical characteristics and location advantages
Caofeidian is a belt-shaped sand island, about 20 kilometers away from the mainland coastline, extending 500 meters forward from the store head, with a water depth of 25 meters. The deep groove in front of the store head reaches 36 meters, which is the deepest part of the Bohai Sea. From Caofeidian to the Bohai Strait, there is a natural waterway with a water depth of 27 meters, which leads directly to the Strait and to the Yellow Sea. The natural combination of waterway and deep trough constitutes the unique advantage of Caofeidian in building a large-scale deep-water port. The 30-meter-deep coastline here is 6 kilometers long, and it is not frozen or silted. It is the only natural port site in Bohai Sea where 300,000-ton berths can be built without excavating navigation channels and harbor basins.
Caofeidian Island has a vast back beach, which is connected with the land, with a low tide area of 30 square kilometers and a zero-meter water depth line area of 1.50 square kilometers, providing sufficient land for the industrial layout of the port and the development and construction of the city.
Caofeidian is adjacent to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, 80km north of Tangshan, 220km north of Beijing, 20km west of Tianjin 120km and 70km east of Qinhuangdao 170km. Its industrial layout is centralized, its economic hinterland is vast, its products are abundant and its logistics is developed. Facing the trend of complementary resources and economic integration between the north and the south of China, the development and construction of Caofeidian Port will build new regional advantages, open up new industrial space and build a new pattern of economic development.
The transportation network behind Caofeidian is developed, with four national railway trunk lines, namely Jingshan, Qin Jing, Daqin and Tongtuo, running through the east and west, and local railways, namely Tangzun, Beishui and Tuogang, running through the north and south. The Beijing-Shenyang Expressway and the expressway around the city form a network, which can build the most economical and convenient rear transportation system for Caofeidian Port and will play an important role in the construction of the "North Coal Transportation to the South" corridor.
Caofeidian Industrial Park, as one of the first batch of pilot industrial parks in China to develop circular economy, will adhere to the principle of "reduction, reuse and recycling", make great efforts to establish a circular economy industrial system, a comprehensive resource utilization control system, an ecological construction and an environmental protection system, accelerate the gathering of circular economy demonstration industrial clusters such as steel, petrochemical, electric power and equipment manufacturing, and form a complete recycling system of waste materials. Save resources to the maximum extent, protect the environment, realize the harmonious development between man and nature, and all the resources and environmental indicators meet the standards of the national circular economy demonstration zone, and become a demonstration zone leading the development of circular economy in China.
Caofeidian is located in the southern coast of Tangshan. It used to be a belt-shaped sand island in northeast and southwest direction, which was formed by the alluvial of the ancient Luanhe River into the sea. It has a history of more than 5,500 years and is named after the original Cao Fei Temple on the island.
"There are deep troughs facing the sea and shoals facing the land" is the most obvious natural geographical feature of Caofeidian, which provides superior conditions for building large-scale deep-water ports and developing port-facing industries, and is praised as "the land of national treasures" by General Secretary Hu Jintao.
The development and construction of Caofeidian in Tangshan is a particularly important strategic decision made by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and Hebei Provincial Party Committee and provincial government to conform to the national energy and transportation development strategy, adjust and optimize the productivity layout and industrial structure of heavy chemical industry in northern China, accelerate the economic integration development around Bohai Sea, and lead modern industry to take the road of circular economy. Starting from 1992, the preliminary work of Caofeidian project was started, with a total investment of more than 60 million yuan. More than 50 work achievements and scientific research projects were completed successively, and 14 academicians and more than 3,500 experts and scholars were hired to repeatedly demonstrate, discuss and optimize, which provided a large number of scientific and detailed basis and qualitative conclusions for national scientific decision-making. Caofeidian Project has been listed as "No.1 Project" by Hebei Province and Tangshan City successively. In June 2005, it was listed as the first batch of pilot industrial parks to develop circular economy. In March 2006, it was included in the national "Eleventh Five-Year" development plan. The initial planning area of Caofeidian Industrial Zone is 3 10 square kilometers. Caofeidian Industrial Zone will be based on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, backed by the "Three Norths" (North China, Northwest China and Northeast China), face the world, give full play to the advantages of geographical location, deep-water port, resource combination and backward industry, earnestly organize and implement the strategy of "promoting industry with port, building a city with heavy chemicals and interacting with port and city", and vigorously build modern port logistics, steel, petrochemical and petrochemical industries. Establish and improve the six basic support systems of transportation, water supply, power supply, communication, land use and environmental protection, and strive to build Caofeidian into a scientific development demonstration zone, a modern industry pioneer zone, a hinterland development leading zone, an economic growth mode transformation innovation zone, a highly open zone in line with international standards and a circular economy demonstration zone.
Functional orientation: With the overall planning of building a national scientific development demonstration zone, Tangshan Caofeidian will be gradually built into a major international distribution center for energy and raw materials in China, a world-class heavy chemical industry base, a national commercial energy reserve and deployment center and a national circular economy demonstration zone.
As one of the first pilot industrial parks in China to develop circular economy, Tangshan Caofeidian Industrial Zone will adhere to the principle of "reduction, reuse and recycling", focus on establishing circular economy industrial system, comprehensive resource utilization control system, ecological construction and environmental protection system, accelerate the gathering of circular economy demonstration industrial clusters such as steel, petrochemical, electric power and equipment manufacturing, and form a complete recycling system of waste materials. Save resources to the maximum extent, protect the environment, realize the harmonious development between man and nature, and all the resources and environmental indicators meet the standards of the national circular economy demonstration zone, and become a demonstration zone leading the development of circular economy in China.
In order to meet the needs of comprehensive development and construction of Caofeidian, on June 8, 2005, with the approval of Hebei Provincial Party Committee, the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Caofeidian Industrial Zone were formally established, and the development and construction of Caofeidian entered a new stage. In 2008, Tangshan Caofeidian New District was established!
Since 2005, Tangshan Caofeidian has officially kicked off large-scale development and construction. 250,000-ton ore wharf, coal wharf and 300,000-ton crude oil wharf have all been put into use. At the same time, many high-tech industries have also settled in Caofeidian, Tangshan, and the investment in Caofeidian is about 400 million a day! Since 2008, Tangshan Caofeidian Industrial Zone has entered a period of rapid development of large-scale industrial agglomeration!
The development and construction of Caofeidian New District in Tangshan is the largest project group during the 11th Five-Year Plan period (2006-20 10). The total investment of Tangshan Caofeidian New District (mainly Caofeidian Industrial Zone) will reach 200 billion yuan in the fifteen years before 2020, and the GDP of Tangshan Caofeidian New District will reach 10 in 20 10.

From 2008, Tangshan will build a well-known international ceramic exhibition and international investment cooperation platform facing the Bohai Sea and the world.
In 2008, Tangshan Caofeidian Port Industry International Cooperation Conference was held for the first time. The conference set up an international investment platform for Tangshan enterprises, domestic and foreign guests and merchants to seek the development of port-based industries. Tangshan Caofeidian Port Industry International Cooperation Conference was held in Tangshan Caofeidian Bohai International Conference Center. "The scale and future influence of this conference center can be compared with Boao in Hainan. After the completion of the conference center, there will be Boao in the south and Bohai International Conference Center in Caofeidian, Tangshan in the north, which will also become a very prominent international conference venue in the north. "
Tangshan Caofeidian International Eco-city, which cooperates with Sweden, Italy, Singapore and the Netherlands, is being built on a large scale. It is estimated that about 800,000 people will gather in 2065 and 438+05, and 654,380.2 million people will gather in 2020, making it a prosperous modern metropolis. This highly affluent metropolis built by the wise Tangshan people is a future city, which answers the urban development model of China and even the world one hundred or even two hundred years later!
This is a magical sand island, and it is also a hot land carrying dreams and hopes!
A future China "Rotterdam", an ecological, new and modern industrial park and coastal city, will be born, rise and take off in Bohai Sea!
[Edit this paragraph] Geographical location

The strong wave direction is ENE, and the maximum wave height is 4.9m The frequency of wave height H4%≥ 1.5m in this direction is 1.63%. The second strongest wave direction is NE, and the maximum wave height is 4.1m.
3. Trends
Tidal current in Caofeidian sea area is irregular semi-diurnal tidal current, and its movement form is basically reciprocating, and its flow direction is closely related to seabed topography. Outside the shoal, it is basically consistent with the coastline. At high tide, the flow direction is slightly north to the west of Caofeidian store head and slightly south to the east. The ebb tide flows in the opposite direction, slightly southeast from the west to the east and slightly northeast from the east to the east.
Caofeidian has a steep shore, which is neither silted nor frozen. The water depth in front of the island is 25 meters and the deep trough is 36 meters, which is the deepest part of the Bohai Sea. The-30m isobath is about 6km long from east to west and 5km wide from north to south. It is the only natural port site along the Bohai Sea that can build a 300,000-ton berth without excavating the waterway and harbor basin. Extending from Caofeidian to the Bohai Strait, there is a natural waterway with a water depth of 27 meters that goes straight to the Yellow Sea. The natural combination of waterways and deep troughs has formed an unparalleled advantage in building a large-scale deep-water port, making Caofeidian a "diamond-class" port site.
The hinterland of Caofeidian is rich in products in North China, Northwest China and Northeast China, especially in the Bohai Rim region, with concentrated industrial layout and strong economic foundation. Tangshan, the direct hinterland, is a modern coastal metropolis with a history of 100 years and the birthplace of modern industry in China. In the process of industrial civilization, Tangshan once gave birth to the first mechanized mine, the first standard gauge railway, the first steam locomotive, the first barrel of machine-made cement and the first piece of sanitary ceramics in China, which is known as "the cradle of modern industry in China" and "the northern porcelain capital". Especially in the 30 years after the earthquake, Tangshan has made great progress in economy and society and become an important industrial base of energy and raw materials in China. 6.2 billion tons of coal, 2.7 billion tons of oil, 5.75 billion tons of iron ore, 900 million tons of limestone, 654.38 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 9 tons of gold and 3 million tons of crude salt have been proved, and 47 kinds of exploitable mineral resources have been proved. Ten pillar industries dominated by coal, steel, electric power, building materials, machinery, chemicals, ceramics, textiles, papermaking and food have been formed, and a number of well-known large-scale backbone enterprises at home and abroad, such as Kailuan Coal Mine, Tangshan Iron and Steel Group, Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory, Jidong Cement Group, Tangshan Sanyou Alkali Industry Group and Huida Ceramics Group, have gathered, and the economy and various undertakings have been at the forefront of Hebei Province. At the same time, Tangshan is rich in human resources, especially skilled workers engaged in mechanical processing and equipment manufacturing. In addition, the huge talent pool and strong R&D capability in Beijing and Tianjin provide strong talent and technical support for the development and construction of Caofeidian.
Caofeidian is rich in water resources, with 950 million cubic meters of water supply system of Luanhe River as the main water source and 392 million cubic meters of water supply system of Taolinkou Reservoir as the auxiliary water source. Through measures such as seawater desalination, the water demand of Caofeidian Port Area and Lingang Industrial Zone can be met. The beach behind the island is vast and connected with the land, with an area of 450 square kilometers, which provides sufficient space for the port industry and urban development. The combination of resources on which industrial development depends is good, and the hinterland is rich in coal, oil, iron ore, crude salt and other resources, and the supporting capacity of industrial areas is strong, which is suitable for the large-scale and high-density development of modern heavy chemical industry.
On the basis of creating conditions for the comprehensive development and construction of Caofeidian, the infrastructure construction of Caofeidian was started in 2003. At present, the infrastructure such as water, electricity, roads and telecommunications in Caofeidian Industrial Zone is improving day by day. Highway Engineering: Cao Qing Highway connecting Tanggang Expressway and Caofeidian Industrial Zone is a first-class highway with a total investment of 560 million yuan and a total length of 52.3 kilometers. Construction started in September 2002, and was opened to traffic in June 2005 at 5438+ 10. The No.1 Road connecting the industrial zone and the land area, with a total investment of 800 million yuan and a total length of 19.5 km, started in March 2003 and was completed in May 2004. In July 2006, the two-way eight-car road was opened through widening and transformation. West Road was completed in June 2006; The North Ring Road is stepping up construction; The total length of Tang-Cao Expressway is 6 1.6 1 km, which will be started at the end of 2006 and opened to traffic in August 2008. The railway project to move Cao, with a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan and a total length of 222.7 kilometers, mainly undertakes the tasks of "transporting coal from the north to the south" and dredging ports in China. Construction started in June 2005 at 65438+ 10, and was completed and opened to traffic at the end of 2006. The recent annual transportation capacity is 50 million tons, and the long-term transportation capacity is 200 million tons. The water supply project, with a total investment of 780 million yuan and a total length of 95 kilometers, started in September 2003, and was successfully tested in June 5438+ 10, 2006, which has the ability to supply water to the industrial zone. The recent annual water supply capacity reaches 82 million cubic meters, and the long-term water supply capacity is 65.438+0.8 billion cubic meters. At the same time, the construction of water purification plant and sewage treatment plant will be started. Power supply project: the first phase of 1 10KV line with a total investment of about 200 million yuan started power supply on July 6, 2005, and the second phase of 220KV substation started construction at the end of 2006. In the communication project, fixed telephone and broadband services were opened, and wireless communication signals covered the whole island. In 2008, the whole industrial zone has formed a land area of 1 10 square kilometers.
On Caofeidian beach, there is a glass fiber reinforced plastic lighthouse, which is the highest lighthouse in the world with glass fiber reinforced plastic as the main material. The glass fiber reinforced plastic lighthouse has worked normally and reliably with excellent performance since it was built and used in September 1998.
The shape of the lighthouse is a combination of a cylinder and a truncated cone. There are two working platforms outside the lighthouse, one at the top, three doors at the bottom and a manhole at the top. There are several observation windows on the tower, and there are several working platforms and lounges inside. Solar power and navigation AIDS are installed on the lighthouse. The tower body adopts segmented assembly structure, each segment is divided into several arc plates, and the segments are connected with the arc plates through internal flanges. This structure makes each unit lighter in weight, smaller in forest volume and convenient for transportation and installation. The tower body is mainly made of FRP, supplemented by steel and other materials. The foundation is reinforced concrete structure, and many steel pipe piles penetrate deep into the beach bottom rock.
3. The Legend of Caofeidian
In Tangshan Bay of Bohai Bay, there is an island called Caofeidian. The island is connected by three sand bars, spanning the sea area from Dagukou in the west to Liaohekou in the east. Caofeidian is a dangerous place, and it is also the only place where ships pass in and out of Dagukou and Tianjin. In ancient times, many ships were wrecked here. People in this area often say, "Hero, pity Caofeidian."
This island has no name. In the early years of the Tang Dynasty, Li Shimin, king of the Tang Dynasty, crossed the ocean to conquer the East and returned to Korea. King Tang ordered the ships to sail along the shallow water along the coast and have fun.
A concubine named Cao Fei took part in the Eastern Expedition. She is very beautiful. She can not only sing and dance well, but also sing and dance well. She saw that the Tang King had been riding a horse for several years, and now she was going to cross the sea and return to the Western Heaven, so she was considerate to the Tang King in every way. After leaving North Korea, Tang Wang accompanied her. He wrote poems and played chess, and waited on her in the morning and evening. Tang Wang likes her very much. Due to Cao Fei's weak constitution, the ship was seriously ill when it sailed to the waters of this county. After being treated by a military doctor, he still vomited. When the boat passed the island, the King of Tang ordered the dragon boat to dock and helped Cao fly to the island for treatment. Cao Fei's illness became more and more serious, and later she died on the island. Li Shimin lost his beloved princess, so he decided to build a three-story hall on the island, carve a statue of Cao Fei and name it Caofeidian. Since then, fishermen and sea travelers have been burning incense, and the island was named Caofeidian.
Because the statues in Caofeidian are so beautiful, some people are fascinated by beauty and have evil thoughts when they burn incense and watch. Those who have evil thoughts are mostly buried in the sea. Therefore, many pilgrims later dared not look up to Cao Fei.
According to legend, Han Xiangzi, one of the "Eight Immortals", came to his mother's grave from the Western Heaven with Wufangsha. Clouds fly over the Bohai Sea, and from a distance, you can see the golden dome of Caofeidian shining, and you can't help but think of Emperor Taizong. He thought that the emperor was a 72-year-old princess in three palaces and six hospitals, but he also felt at ease. Unexpectedly, every time I move, the flower basket can't stand the weight of sand in five directions, and three cracks appear with a swish. The sand in the basket fell into the sea, leaving three sand mountains in the sea. This is the Sansha Dam, which starts from Dagukou in the west and ends at Liaohe Estuary in the east today. Han Xiangzi arrived in Caofeidian and wanted to see the Cao Fei statue in the falling clouds. At this point, Tie Guai Li, who secretly followed him, was afraid that he would miss the correct result, so he threw down the iron crutch. Han Xiangzi saw that he had a chill, so he stopped thinking about it. He quickly turned the iron with a flower basket and drove the cloud east.
Tie Guai Li's iron crutch was drilled into the ground by a basket of flowers. When Tie Guai Li waved, the iron cane returned to his hand, but a well appeared in front of Caofeidian. Well water is clear, sweet and inexhaustible. This is "Gu Jing Ganquan", which is called one of the eight scenic spots in Luanzhou by later generations.
Legend has it that Cao Fei often rescues ships in distress at sea and has the reputation of "the fountain of ancient wells". Since then, whenever ships pass by Caofeidian, people will burn incense on the island and use ancient wells and springs. The lively scene made the Bohai Aquarium restless day and night, so the Dragon King sent a little dragon to guard here, so he often set off big waves and killed many passing ships.
In the Qing Dynasty, a monk named Faben came to Caofeidian. Seeing the majestic temples and extraordinary weather, I decided to build a temple on the island to practice. Faben and his disciples cultivated land on the island and raised a cow. Besides working, this cow is also free.
One night, Faben found that the cow was not in the pen. The next morning, the cow lay in the fence and was soaked to the skin for three days. To find out, one night Faben hid outside the cowshed. About the second watch, Niu Yi jumped up and ran to the south of the island. Faben followed closely, but when the sea opened, a monster with amazing size appeared, like a fish instead of a fish, like a beast instead of a beast. Old Niu Yi jumped up after seeing it, and struggled with the monster until dawn. The monster jumped into the bottom of the sea, and the old cow panted back to the cowshed. It turns out that this kind of sea monster always eats dead bodies, and when he sees living people on the island, he always wants to go ashore to find food. Fortunately, he was resisted by the cow.
In the evening, Faben tied two sharp knives to the horns of the cow. That night, the wind and waves were very heavy, and the cows kept roaring, from the second watch to the fourth watch. At the fifth watch, the monks found the cow lying on the ground with blood dripping from the sharp knife. Since then, people have settled on the island.
In France, it is common for ships traveling to and from the Bohai Sea to be killed because they don't know the direction, so they thought of a way. During the day, they sent a monk to watch the sea. When they saw the boat approaching the island, they beat gongs and drums. In the evening, he told his disciples to make a big oil lamp and hang it high on the island to warn the passing ships. Because the sea breeze is too strong, the lights are often blown out and there is no lampshade. Later, Faben went ashore for alms and heard that there was a crystal lamp in the Daotai yamen, so he decided to melt it.
One day, Faben went to the front of the Daotai yamen, knocked on the wooden fish and asked the officers to melt the crystal lamp in the yamen. The officers quickly reported to the platform. Daotai was very angry and refused to give alms to his beloved things. Seeing this, Fa Ben sat cross-legged in front of the yamen, closed his eyes and recited scriptures, which attracted countless people at one time. Faben didn't eat, drink or move the platform for three days. So he melted some sesame oil and cotton, dipped cotton in sesame oil, wrapped it around his little finger and lit it. The little finger burned out, pointing in the middle, making the dharma face as yellow as paper and sweating like rain, and the onlookers were filled with indignation at the dharma. Afraid of angering the people, and afraid that the boss would be punished if he knew, Daotai took out the crystal lamp and said, "Stop! Give it to him! "
The incident of burning French lights quickly spread to coastal towns and Tianjin. So, some people gave money, others gave bricks and stones, and built a 6-foot-high lighthouse in Caofeidian. After the crystal lamp is lit, it can be seen dozens of miles away at night, and ships can tell the direction when they see the light. Since then, few ships have had accidents.
