Hanshan Temple is located in Qiao Feng Town, ten miles west of Suzhou. It was founded in the Tian Jian period of the Liang Dynasty, formerly known as "Miaoliping Temple". According to legend, Hanshanzi was hosted here during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, so it was renamed Hanshan Temple.
