Its colorful resources create unique and superior conditions for its craftsmen to display their skills. Quyang stone carvings not only lose the mysterious and hazy roughness of the Wei Dynasty, but also inherit the natural, plump, solemn and graceful shapes of the Tang and Song Dynasties. Lu Jinqiao, a contemporary Chinese arts and crafts master, enriched the stone carving skills with ivory carving and wood carving techniques.
Quyang currently has three carving groups, more than 2,600 carving companies and stalls, more than 100,000 carving employees, and an annual carving output value of more than 5 billion yuan. According to market demand, 500 million yuan was invested to build Oriental Sculpture City, which was listed as a key project by the province. There are now more than 400 companies settled in the square, and the sculpture square with an investment of more than 40 million yuan is under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. After years of operation, Quyang's sculpture industry has now formed a development pattern of "one city, one front line and three communities" (one city: Oriental Stone Sculpture City; first line: along Quxin Highway; three communities: Yangping, Wende and Dangcheng). There are currently 2 carving groups, more than 1,200 carving companies and stalls, tens of thousands of carving artists, and an annual output value of 400 million yuan. Recently, a "carving corridor" covering an area of ??more than 1,000 acres has been planned on both sides of the county town to Yangping highway. The project has been approved by the province and is currently under construction. It can accommodate more than 50 carving and plate companies. The "Sculpture Art Palace" with an investment of more than 5 million yuan has been put into use.
