Feng Shui of Jungle Lake in Myanmar

More than ten kilometers south of Siem Reap, there is also a special scenic spot, that is, the Vietnamese floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, which is a group of people living by water. Surprisingly, the people living in this floating village are not Cambodians, but Vietnamese. Most of them fled here to escape the civil war in Vietnam, and neither the Cambodian nor Vietnamese governments recognized them. They have no nationality, no hukou, and the Cambodian government does not allow them to go ashore. For a long time, the homes of these Vietnamese refugees can only float on the lake, which is called: floating village in Vietnam. Dirty lakes and shabby huts make it one of the poorest places in Cambodia, but it has also become a special attraction.

But now the local government has increased its support for boat people, and we have seen floating schools and churches.

Going to Tonle Sap Lake is to watch the sunset and the floating village. Watching the sunset is bound to pass through the waters of this floating village. In a short time, the houses floating in the distance came into view, and then large tracts of simple houses came upon us. There are rows of banks of the river, and these floating houses are all built with wooden poles. It is not easy to build these floating houses.

When the rainy season comes, the lake will rise by two thirds and the village will become a "swamp forest". It was the dry season when we came, and most of the wood supporting the house was exposed on the water, as if a house had grown on the wood, forming a very unique landscape.

Tonle sap river Scenic Spot is not included in the three-day ticket of Angkor Scenic Spot, and an extra $20 is required. When we arrived at the scenic spot, our chartered driver enthusiastically offered to help us buy tickets. It is estimated that he doesn't need $20 to buy a ticket, so he can earn some difference.

With the approach of scenic spots, there are more vendors selling fish on the roadside. Tonle Sap Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, also known as Phnom Penh Lake. The annual fish production accounts for 70% of the country.

A small tributary also appeared in front of us, and many boats were waiting for tourists on the river bank. In the rainy season from May to 10, the area of Tonle Sap Lake can reach tens of thousands of square kilometers, but it shrinks to only 3000 square kilometers in the dry season. Because the rainy season has passed when we came, the river area has shrunk a lot, and many ships are in the mire. Visitors can only get on and off the ship with the help of wooden boards in the mud.

Our driver arranged for us to board the boat and told him to wait for us on the shore. The four of us and two ladies from Shenzhen took a small wooden boat with five big and three thick, and carried us along a narrow waterway to the center of the lake.

The water is very muddy, and there are many ships coming and going in the narrow river. All the boatmen drive fast, running all the way.

After a while, the floating village appeared in front of us, and the speed of the boatman did not decrease. We can only shoot left and right in a hurry.

These huts are erected high with wooden poles, so that when the rainy season comes, the river will not be afraid of rising. It can be seen that most of these places are tin houses, and Cambodia has a hot climate, so living in such a space is enough. It is said that the electricity bill here is very expensive. Once the electricity fee 1 yuan, most people don't need electricity.

You can only travel by small wooden boat.

See a school.

These houses look better, and many flowers and plants are planted.

There are many trees on the water. I wonder if it is a mangrove forest.

The ubiquitous church has not spared this place.

Through the floating village, we came to a water jungle. Many ships are moored here, and our ship has stopped. The boatman instructed us to board another big ship. I don't know what happened. I wanted to ask the boatman, but the language was not clear, so I had to get on the big ship first.

After boarding the ship, I saw many boats in a water jungle, carrying tourists to the depths of the jungle. I asked a tourist in China before I realized that this was a self-funded sightseeing project. A boat can take two people, and the price is $5, which is the source of income for local people.

Afraid of being unsafe, I didn't attend, so I rested on the big boat and watched the excitement, just like two Shenzhen tourists from the boat came back, and then took the original small wooden boat back to Tonle Sap Lake to watch the sunset.

When I arrived at Tonle Sap Lake, I was an eye-opener. On the wide water, there are already many boats carrying tourists, waiting for the sunset.

At sunset in Tonle Sap Lake, the weather is still awesome.
