China's incense culture can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, inherited from the Qin and Han Dynasties, and perfected in the Tang and Song Dynasties. The different incense burners used also became the epitome of social life and culture in the Tang and Song Dynasties. There are a lot of incense burners in the Tang and Song Dynasties that can be visually seen and tested, and their faces are colorful. This paper takes the incense burner in Tang and Song Dynasties as the research object, and studies its morphological classification and modeling characteristics from the design point of view.
The modeling pedigree of incense burners in Tang and Song Dynasties was clarified. On the basis of shape classification, this paper analyzes and compares the evolution relationship of various incense burners in Tang and Song Dynasties, and makes a retrospective study on their design prototypes, and analyzes the origin, evolution and design characteristics of incense burners in Tang and Song Dynasties.

Antique incense burner, this paper defines the research object as the classic tribute porcelain incense burner with bronze-like shape in Song Dynasty, which is divided into four types: tripod, wick, wick and reed.
