Wushaoling, known as Ha Xiang Yue in Tibetan, which means Monk Ridge, is located in the middle of the county seat and belongs to Longling branch of Leng Yan, Qilian Mountain. The annual average temperature is -2.2℃, the east-west length is about17km, the north-south width is about10km, and the top of the main peak is 3562m above sea level. Wushaoling is the throat of Hexi Corridor, the main road of the ancient Silk Road, and also a military location. The climate in Wushaoling area is changeable, with frequent hail from June to August. Although it is summer, it snows as soon as it rains. In Qing Dynasty, Yang Weichang called it "the wonder of flying snow on a hot day". It is also this climate, which is very suitable for the growth of highland barley and rape. From July 1 to July 10 every year, golden rape flowers and green wheat fields alternate, adding a beautiful scenery to the snowy plateau. There is the site of Hanxiangzi Temple on the ridge, which is located on the east side of Gan Xin Highway in the northeast of Anmen Village, Dachaigou Town, and in Anyuan Town and Nanniwan Village in Wushaoling, with a total length of 10 km. Climbing Wushaoling in the morning, the Great Wall twists and turns, crossing Jinqiang River to the northern foot of Maya Mountain, winding constantly, sometimes like a dragon, sometimes like a gold necklace shining in the morning light.
