1943 Ren Farong went to a rural school at the age of 7, and 1950 abandoned school because of family difficulties. He studied farm work at home, read four Confucian books in the loving mother's class, and gradually grew physically and culturally. 1955 winter, the year is 19? Ren Farong, 20, visited Longmen Cave in Daoguan, Longxian County, Shaanxi Province. He saw the beautiful scenery and beautiful environment here. I also heard that Qiu Chuji, a famous Taoist priest in the Yuan Dynasty, had studied Taoism here, and I was very impressed, so I lingered in the mountains for several days. At that time, there were more than 20 Taoist priests living in Longmen Cave. Seeing that they are simple and kind and diligent in Taoist cultivation, Ren Farong asked the prison to agree to stay, do farm work with Taoist every day, and borrow Taoist books in his spare time. After reading it, I gradually developed a belief in Taoism and formed an indissoluble bond with Taoism. Later, he officially entered the Tao, worshiping Wang Wei, a Taoist priest of the 28 th generation of Quanzhen Longmen, and learning Taoism with the teacher.
Wang, a Taoist, is good at fasting rituals, scriptures and verses, and is proficient in Taoism. Although Ren Farong studied Buddhist scriptures and rhymes as a teacher, he didn't want to be a monk all his life. In his view, rhyme is the expression ceremony of chanting, and it only expounds the superficial form of Taoist propaganda. The spiritual essence of Taoism, on the one hand, is to cultivate truth and prolong life, on the other hand, it is the source of the poor universe, which is philosophical and practical, not only beneficial to itself, but also has a positive effect on human happiness, social stability and world peace. Therefore, although he studied classical verse, he did not attach importance to it, but focused on reading Taoist books and studying Taoist thoughts. During the three years from 1955 to 1958 (1958 attended the National Democratic Youth Delegate Conference, a youth delegate from Shaanxi Province), he carefully read Tao Te Ching, South China, Four Products, Yin Fu and Su Shu during his spare time. /kloc-in the winter of 0/957, Ren Farong bid farewell to Master, left Longmen Cave in Longxian County, and went to Louguantai Daoyuan in zhouzhi county, Shaanxi Province to sign the bill. At that time, the prime minister of Louguantai was Liang, who was proficient in Confucianism and Taoism. He praised Ren Farong for reading many books, but he must read the Five Classics intensively to lay a solid foundation for his study. So Ren Farong recognized Liang Zonghe as his teacher, and under the guidance of Liang Daochang, he carefully studied Zuo Zhuan, Shangshu and Yijing. After studying Confucianism for six years, Ren Farong feels that although Confucianism is extensive and profound, Taoism is kind to the extensive and profound Tao Te Ching. From 1964 to 1966, Ren Farong carefully read the annotations of Tao Te Ching by more than 60 experts in the Taoist Prize Collection, which greatly broadened his knowledge and deepened his understanding of morality. 1966 When the Cultural Revolution broke out, the Taoists in Louguantai were attacked. Most temples and gardens were occupied by the cultural management and garden departments, and most of them were dismissed. Ren Farong is 3 1 year-old, and still insists on working in Louguantai, making a living by reclaiming land with Taoist priests. During the ten-year catastrophe, their life was very difficult and their situation was very dangerous. However, Ren Farong was fearless in times of crisis, died without sorrow, was open-minded and pious, and never gave up the study of Tao Te Ching. After ten years of catastrophe, he realized the hardships of the world and life, and suddenly understood the profound truth of morality. So he made up his mind to interpret the Tao Te Ching with Taoist teachings. 1978 After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, the Party and the government set things right, conscientiously implemented the policy of freedom of religious belief, and Louguantai in Shaanxi returned to Taoism to run its own business. From 65438 to 0980, Ren Farong undertook the responsibility of raising funds, recruiting and maintaining balconies. In the next five years, his work was very busy, but he still used his spare time to annotate Tao Te Ching. According to legend, Louguantai is a sacred place of Taoism, where Laozi once taught the Tao Te Ching. Louguantai has a stone carving "Tao Te Ching" called "Yuan Lou", which is a famous version of this book. Ren Farong Taoist priests took this as the background and engaged in annotation work. Five years, three comments, three writing, about 400 thousand words. It was deliberately refined and rewritten in 1986. /kloc-0 was published in the winter of 987, with a length of 65438+ million words, and was published by Shaanxi Sanqin Publishing House 1988. According to the "Summary" of the book, "Taoist Ren Farong annotated the Original Architecture and the Tao Te Ching with the orthodox view of Taoism for thousands of years." "The author highly summarized the basic ideas of Tao Te Ching from vertical and horizontal, micro and macro aspects, and made a simple and distinctive explanation of the implications of Hyunri's outlook on nature, life and society (especially the outlook on the universe, health and politics) of Laozi." The characteristic of this book is that the author is a devout believer, and he interprets the Tao Te Ching with feelings of Taoism and religious belief. If you want to know how Christians view and understand the Tao Te Ching, please look at this annotated edition. Ren Farong likes reading Taoist books and is diligent in writing. Ren Farong is not only a Taoist scholar, but also a capable Taoist tutor. Since 1984 was elected as the director by Taoists in Louguantai, he has been busy managing Taoist affairs, carrying out normal religious activities, negotiating with departments occupying Taoist houses to implement policies according to law, cultivating young Taoists who have just entered Taoism, leading Taoists to engage in agricultural production and self-support, and receiving visits from celebrities from Hong Kong, Macao and other countries. Ren Farong, a Taoist, works hard, goes all out, is confident and methodical. In a few years, he restored the concept of ancient architecture to its original state and became a model of Taoist temple. Because he has always loved his country and religion, his faith is sincere, his style is simple, and his ability is superior, he is one of the few scholars in Taoism today, so he enjoys a high reputation in zhouzhi county, Shaanxi Province and even the whole country, and is quite popular in Taoism. 1985, he was elected as the official party member of CPPCC zhouzhi county. 1986 was elected as the executive director of the 4th Chinese Taoist Association, and Ren Farong's research on geomantic omen also had a certain depth.
