Interpretation of the meaning of Laojuntai
Laojuntai, formerly known as Sheng Sendai or Bai Sendai, was originally a part of the palace, located in the northeast corner of Luyi County, my hometown. According to legend, Lao Tzu's cultivation of immortals soared here, hence the name. In the seventh year of Song Zhenzong Dazhong Xiangfu, Laozi was posthumously named the Emperor Taishang Laojun in10/4, so it was also called Laojuntai. The platform is13m high, with a top area of 765m2 and a slightly larger bottom area. The whole platform is made of ancient bricks, surrounded by 24 planes in a cylindrical shape, and a 70-cm-high fence is built around the platform, which is similar in appearance to the city wall. There are three halls on the stage, one is the East Hall and the other is the West Hall.
