Tianjin University returned to teach at its alma mater in 198 1 after resuming the Department of Architecture. Over the past 30 years, Li Tao has traveled all over the world, leading students to win the first prize and the first prize of national planning and design for many times, passing through more than 150 cities and completing more than 400 urban planning and architectural design projects. He is currently a professor at the School of Architecture of Tianjin University, an urban planning expert and a national first-class registered architect.
1963 wrote the first research report paper on rural planning, in which the application of geomantic omen in rural layout planning was discussed, and the scientificity and importance of geomantic omen were recognized. Up to now, he has spent half a century collecting folk geomantic tactics extensively, visiting strange people all over the country, exchanging geomantic techniques, holding many geomantic training courses, and training and guiding people interested in geomantic research. 1993, he founded the first Feng Shui research institution in China: China Yi Xue and Kanyu Society, and was elected as its president. He also presided over eight national academic discussion and application conferences on Yi-ology and Kanyu, which had far-reaching influence.
