On the first day, the routes were concentrated in Xiamen University and Huandao Road in Siming District. Walking and cycling are the best modes of transportation.

9:00 Nanputuo Temple

The first morning, I went to Nanputuo Temple next to Xiamen University. This ancient temple in the south of Fujian enjoys the best reputation among tourists. Admission to the temple is free, and each visitor can receive a candle for free.
After visiting the Hall of the Great Hero, you can climb the Five Old Peaks along the path behind the temple, which takes 30-50 minutes one way. The top of the mountain is an excellent place overlooking the panoramic view of Xiamen University, the twin towers of Xiamen and the vast sea, which further confirms Nanputuo's theory of "a land of geomantic omen".

Nanputuo Temple has a vegetarian restaurant, which is the symbol of the temple. Interested tourists may wish to experience it. If you want to feel the campus canteen, the third floor of Furong Restaurant on Xiamen University campus is open to tourists. You can also find some cheap restaurants around the campus that are popular with Xiamen University students.
12:00 Xiamen University
Highlights: Architecture combining Chinese and Western, Furong Tunnel
The popular attractions of Xiamen University are divided into three categories: architecture, nature and museum. The Jiannan Auditorium and Songen Building on campus are the most magnificent and suitable for taking pictures as a souvenir. Furong Lake and Lover Valley have the best natural scenery. Visitors who like humanistic atmosphere can also visit Lu Xun Museum and Anthropology Museum.
Besides, you can not only visit bookstores, but also time bookstores and coffee shops scattered all over the campus.
The total length of Furong Tunnel is 1 km, and both sides are covered with students' creative graffiti. Visitors can also use their creativity and take interesting photos. There is a souvenir shop to visit in the tunnel. It is suggested to go to the end and then turn back in the original road in the tunnel, and go directly to Baicheng Beach of Xiamen University from Baicheng School Gate.
Campus opening hours
From Monday to Friday, it is open at noon 12:00- 14:00 (limited to 1000 people) and at night 17:00-24:00 (limited to traffic). There is no limit to the time and number of people visiting on weekends. You can enter with your ID card.
16:00 Baicheng Beach
Highlight: The nearest seaside resort to Xiamen University.
Baicheng Beach is just across the road from Xiamen University, which is the seaside beach that most tourists who come to Xiamen University will go to. The beach has a vast area and is a popular place to enjoy the sea near the urban area.
Huandao Road 18:00
Highlight: cycling by the sea, beautiful scenery and delicious snacks.
Day 2: Appreciate Minnan architecture and explore the route of Wen Yi block.
It is far from other scenic spots to go to Jimei Xue Cun the next morning, so it is recommended to take the subway. Other scenic spots can be reached on foot or by bike.
The next day's itinerary: Jimei Xue Cun (3h)→ Shapowei (3h)→ Shimao Shang Yun Xiamen Observation Deck (1.5h)→ Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street (3h).

Walking in Jimei Xue Cun, the architectural fusion of Nanyang style and Minnan characteristics can be seen everywhere. Whether it is tall and spectacular, like Nanxun Tower, small and elegant, like the pavilions of Chi Pan in Longzhou, or the colorful red wall Gu Lou, it is unforgettable.

Take the "Sea View Subway Line"
Take the newly opened subway line 1 from Jimei Xue Cun to Shapowei. Compared with the traditional bus, the subway shortens the ride time to one hour. Shapowei has gathered creative workshops, cafes full of emotional appeal, restaurants among online celebrities and famous dessert shops, where young artists love to spend their time comfortably. The unique street view has also attracted many young couples and photographers to take photos with concave shapes.
17:00 Shang Yun, Xiamen
Highlights: all-glass observation deck, high-altitude stroll
Five minutes' walk from Shapowei can reach Shimao Building, a new landmark in Xiamen. Before sunset, you can climb the 360-degree all-glass observation deck on the 55th floor, overlooking Xiamen and Taiwan Province Province. There are also love roofs and high-altitude glass plank roads on the 58th floor of the building. Visitors who like excitement can go to the outdoor viewing rooftop to experience it.
Admission price: adult ticket 120 yuan can climb the rooftop on the 55th floor. On this basis, 20 yuan can visit the Tiantai of Love, and 80 yuan can experience the high-altitude glass plank road, with discounts for the elderly and children.
