Matters needing attention in raising parrot fish

Although parrot fish is very adaptable to temperature. But in fact, parrot fish is quite sensitive to temperature. When the water temperature is low and the water temperature changes dramatically, it is easy to produce stress reaction, leading to dim body color, loss of gorgeous luster, and even black stripes or markings. It is best to keep the water temperature within the range of 25~28℃ during feeding, and the water temperature difference before and after each water change should not exceed 0.

2。 Parrotfish is very sensitive to light and needs regular and quantitative strong light irradiation. After strong light irradiation 1~2 hours every day, it should be allowed to spend the rest of the day in the dark.
3。 Because parrot fish can't close their lips and have poor control ability of swallowing water, the water body where parrot fish are raised must have enough oxygen.
Aquarium is best equipped with biochemical filter cotton, water pump and oxygen-increasing aeration equipment.
4. Nautilus is timid. Turn on the light before feeding. Turn on the light for five minutes, wait until all the fish are used to it, and then feed it. After a long time, the parrot fish will gradually adapt to the rhythm of your feeding, and they will get together the next time they turn on the light. Feed once a day to form a rule.
Don't let people shake the fish tank before entering the fish tank, which will affect the parrot fish. Stop in front of the fish tank before feeding.
5, change the water in time: keeping the water fresh can ensure that the parrot does not fade. If fresh water is not added for more than 4 days, the parrot will fade. So usually change the water once every three days and change it by a quarter at a time. In general, parrot fish will become lighter in the first 2-3 hours after changing water, but will soon return to red.
6. If you are mixed with big fish, you can prepare some pellet feed (of course, shrimp is better) and put it with other bait. There is less pellet feed, and the big fish will not finish it for a while, and the parrot fish can grab it. Parrotfish generally do not compete with other fish for food, so if there is no food for a long time, it will wilt or even die. But don't mix with small fish, because parrot fish will devour some small fish when they grow up.
