Zhanghe River is the "mother river" of Zhangxi 'an County, and there are many irrigation canals in the basin, which is an important water source for industrial and agricultural production in this county. From the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the timber produced in Zhangxi 'an County followed the Zhanghe River, Longchuan River and Bangsha River, entered the Weihe River in yuanyang town, Wushan County, and reached Wushan, Gangu, Tianshui, Baoji and Xianyang.
Originated in Muzhailing, Zhangxi 'an County, it flows from southwest to east through Dacaotan, Penghu Bridge, Sancha, Yanjing and Chengguan in Zhangxi 'an County, flows out of Sunjiaxia and enters Wushan County, where it flows from north to south through the middle of Gaolou Township, and there is a relatively open Liu Chuan Basin in the downstream, which joins Bangsha River at Dingjiamen, Yuanyang Township.
There are four irrigation stations in the west bank. The total length of the river is 83.7 kilometers, with Zhangxi 'an County 6 1 km, Wushan County 14 km (the total number is in doubt, that is, the original text), the riverbed gradient 1% ~ 5%, and the drainage area 1 270.05 square kilometers, that is, Zhangxi 'an County/kloc.
