How to identify the quality of ceramic tiles

Calculate how much it will cost to decorate your home

1. Look at the appearance. The color of the ceramic tiles should be uniform, the surface finish and flatness should be good, the perimeter should be regular, and the pattern should be complete. Take four or five pieces out of a box and inspect them for defects such as color difference, deformation, missing edges and corners. 2. Listen to the sound. If you tap it lightly with a hard object, the crisper the sound, the higher the degree of porcelain and the better the quality. You can also hold the corner of the ceramic tile between your left thumb, index finger and middle finger, hang it down easily, and tap the middle and lower part of the ceramic tile with your right index finger. If the sound is clear and pleasant, it is a high quality sound; if the sound is dull and turbid, it is a low quality sound. 3. Drip test. You can drop water on the back of the ceramic tile to see how fast the water soaks after it spreads. Generally speaking, the slower the water absorption is, the greater the density of the ceramic tile is; conversely, the faster the water absorption is, the sparse density is, and its intrinsic quality is superior to the former. 4. Measurement. The higher the accuracy of the side length of the ceramic tiles, the better the effect after paving. Buying high-quality ceramic tiles is not only easier to construct, but also saves man-hours and auxiliary materials. Use a tape measure to measure the size of each tile and see if there is any difference around it. The one with the highest accuracy is the best.
