Introduction to Changling, Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty

The Changling Mausoleum of Liu Bang, the founder of the Han Dynasty, is located on the Xianyang Plain in the north of Yaodian Township, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. It faces south, with the ever-flowing Wei River to the south and the majestic Jiuwei Mountain to the north. The Qinchuan Ancient Road passes through it. More than the original. Changling is located in the south of Xianyang Plain. It is commanding and majestic, showing the high dignity of the feudal emperor.

Liu Bang was the first emperor in Chinese history who dominated the world with a commoner and a three-foot sword. In the Chu-Han War, he dominated the war, fought seventy battles, forty small battles, and was seriously injured twelve times. Finally, he defeated the arrogant Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, and ascended the throne of the emperor.

The construction of Changling began in the second year after Liu Bang became emperor. The cemetery was modeled after Chang'an, the capital of the Western Han Dynasty, but on a slightly smaller scale. There are also luxurious sleeping halls and toilet halls built in the cemetery. The dormitory hall is the main hall in the cemetery. The clothes and crowns of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty and his utensils are displayed in the hall, exactly as he served the emperor during his lifetime.
