During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Ji Xiaolan, a famous scholar who edited Sikuquanshu, once said, "The truth and things in the world are all said in ancient books. Writing now is still beyond the scope of the ancients. Why write more? " This is indeed a famous saying. Look at the works of scholars around the world on thoughts and academic aspects, which are all the wisdom of the ancients, and even, emphatically, they are all said by the ancients in China. Therefore, Ji Xiaolan never wrote a book in his life, but compiled a book-sorting out the ancient books of predecessors and systematically classifying the culture of China for the convenience of later scholars. His own works are only one volume of Notes on Yuewei Caotang.

It is precisely because of this attitude that he learns, so he naturally reads a lot, and his understanding is more profound and correct than others.
